Wait, what? They haven't even made the fourth movie, and a 6th is planned for 2016? So there's going to be 3 Movies in less than 2 years? :/

While the idea of them making movies more frequently and making EQG a series of mini-movies instead of a cartoon series seemed cool, this seems incredibly hard to swallow.

Yeah it's just a book guys, most likely based on the shorts for the fourth movie, based on the pattern.

OH yeah, I forgot they now release two books per movie  . I found it weird because I thought that book was based on the SIXTH movie, when we don't even have a fifth one confirmed :dash: (We know officially the fourth movie is coming, also a Legends of the Everfree, which may, or may not be the forth, the fifth, or a spin off show  )

The first 8 were so atrocious that they were banned from being shown to the public. Which is saying something, considering how awful Plan 9 was.

I am pretty sure it's just a book.

It could be like how Rainbow Rocks had two books where one was just about the shorts and the other was the actual novelization of the film.

So the same could apply with Legends of the Everfree.

It would be nice to see an Equestria Girls tv series, Hasbro would make lots of money if they did it.

Eh, I think the fact that EQG is a movie series keeps it feeling unique from MLP though. If you do a series its going to be near pure slice of life in the human world since it lacks natural magic or monsters and there's little real world building opportunities, which would run the risk of making EQG feel like FIM light.

That being said, Hasbro's execs admitted that a "one movie a year" model had alot of weaknesses as it sees a drop in sales towards the end of the year after a movie premiers due to a drought.

It'd be nice if they did more shorts to combat that.

There have been 5 books already in the Equestria Girls universe. One of them was a prequel and Rainbow Rocks had 2 books.

It's a book.  It said as much in that thread:

And in other news, the rest of the Daring Do series will be getting solo releases, and yet another Equestria Girls book is on the way. I wonder what that one will be based on?

EDIT: Amazon.com just posted this up for pre-order if anyone is interested.

For anyone who's wondering: Equestria Girls 6 refers to the sixth Equestria Girls novel, not the sixth general installment. Number 1 was Through The Mirror, the adaption of the first movie. Number 2, Rainbow Rocks, was an adaption of the Rainbow Rocks shorts. Number 3, The Mane Event, was the novel to Rainbow Rocks. Number 4, Sunset Shimmer's Time to Shine, was an original story set before Friendship Games, Number 5 is the adaption of Friendship Games.

No problems here!

Wasn't there a rumor about a TV series or something?

That's all it is at this point.  Somebody on some board or another suggested that Legend of Everfree might be referring to an EQG spinoff tv series.  But what we know from an official announcement from the president of Hasbro Studios leads me to believe that that's where the series is heading next.

I don't even think we've heard mention of the Everfree Forest in EQG?
