Are you going to Hell?

Sixth Level of Hell - The City of Dis

You approach Satan's wretched city where you behold a wide plain surrounded by iron walls. Before you are fields full of distress and torment terrible. Burning tombs are littered about the landscape. Inside these flaming sepulchers suffer the heretics, failing to believe in God and the afterlife, who make themselves audible by doleful sighs. You will join the wicked that lie here, and will be offered no respite. The three infernal Furies stained with blood, with limbs of women and hair of serpents, dwell in this circle of Hell.

Ok, I kinda expected that since I'm atheist.  :muffins:

While this topic does discuss concepts of eternal damnation (normally a religious affair that is suited for DP) this is done in a tongue in cheek and amusing way so I am moving it to the Forum Lounge.

I shall move this by power of

I got:

First Level of Hell - Limbo

Charon ushers you across the river Acheron, and you find yourself upon the brink of grief's abysmal valley. You are in Limbo, a place of sorrow without torment. You encounter a seven-walled castle, and within those walls you find rolling fresh meadows illuminated by the light of reason, whereabout many shades dwell. These are the virtuous pagans, the great philosophers and authors, unbaptised children, and others unfit to enter the kingdom of heaven. You share company with Caesar, Homer, Virgil, Socrates, and Aristotle. There is no punishment here, and the atmosphere is peaceful, yet sad.

I like this test given I own the poem/book.

Welp. Guessed I'm screwed. :B I see a lot of low-moderates and barely any extremes in the replies, but it seems like I get none of that. Might as well grab my boarding pass now. xD

So yeah, nothing surprising there whatsoever. Though I think I'd be more bored than sad.

I got lucky here. I got a very high score for heresy but somehow avoided being sentenced to level 5.

It was a nice quiz, although some of the questions I would like to have had a 'neutral' on. For example, the 'do you think there's a an afterlife' question; I don't meddle with religion, if there's an aflterlife, there's an afterlife, and if there's not, there's not. Nothing I believe can change that. Same with most religious questions; god might exist, he might not, nothing I believe can change that.

Oh, and i'm in level 6. Surprising... thought I'd be in Limbo! Guess i'm more heretic than I thought...

Jesus. O.o

How did I get a score of 'high' in violent at all? I value the right of life so highly, I am 100% pacifistic (I'm so much more lustful than I am violent. Seriously). However, I guess the system is only as logical and messed up as the ancient belief system it spawned from. I am not a perfect person, you can really get me for not sharing my food and money with the poor (family aside), but I'm pretty sure you could get a large number of 'good' Christians for that, too.

Lol. Sorry, I know it's just for fun... But it's not all fun and games, as some people revel in the belief of this kind of stuff.

The link to the site was blocked, so I had to take a similar quiz on a different site. My results were the 6th circle of hell. O_o

I found a fun little test online.

http://www.4degreez.com/misc/dante-inferno-test.mv

It's a questionnaire that tells you where you would go in the afterlife based on Dante Alighieri's epic poem The Divine Comedy. It's a really good read. I would recommend it to everyone. I would have posted it somewhere else, but since it has to do with religion and will more than likely spark debate, I'm posting it here.

Remember, this is just something for fun. It should not be taken seriously. That being said, what section of Hell is everypony going to find themselves in?

attachicon.gifScreenshot_3.png

Probably should have married my girl before getting her pregnant lol. :)

Yeah, Divine comedy was a good, but rather complicated, read. To be honest, I mainly bought it in a Barnes N Nobles shortly after playing Dante's Inferno  :icwudt:

This is a version of hell from a work of fiction. Fun fact: The Divine Comedy was a partal criticism of the Roman Catholic Church. Popes and Cardinals found themselves in this Hell, so no one should feel too bad. :D

Yeah, I've stopped believing in religion after so many historical cases of scandals and corruption. Besides, religion takes a new meaning once you realize it's fabricated by men as flawed as you and I  :rarity: . But I do believe in religion where it teaches you how to be virtuous, not in believing in a supreme being based on other people's claims

I think the biggest factors were being attracted to the same sex, not believing in God, believing in what I think is right (even if it boils down to violence), and having been depressed and have attempted suicide before sends me that far down.

Well, screw you too.

Take into account this was written during a period where religious beliefs was more strict than is today

Well, I'm not all that surprised with this  :nom:

Hell probably isn't all that bad though, it's definitely nice and warm there at least.

Yeah, who knows, it might be like South Park's hell  . Or any following this trope for that matter  :dash:

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AHellOfATime

Nore: I got this result

The sweet light no longer strikes against your eyes. Your shade has been banished to... the Fifth Level of Hell!

Fifth Level of Hell

The river Styx runs through this level of Hell, and in it are punished the wrathful and the gloomy. The former are forever lashing out at each other in anger, furious and naked, tearing each other piecemeal with their teeth. The latter are gurgling in the black mud, slothful and sullen, withdrawn from the world. Their lamentations bubble to the surface as they try to repeat a doleful hymn, though with unbroken words they cannot say it. Because you lived a cruel, vindictive and hateful life, you meet your fate in the Styx.

Here is how you matched up against all the levels: (Click on a level for more info) Level Who are sent there? Score Purgatory Repending Believers Very Low Level 1 - Limbo Virtuous Non-Believers Low Level 2 Lustful Moderate Level 3 Gluttonous Moderate Level 4 Prodigal and Avaricious High Level 5 Wrathful and Gloomy Very High Level 6 - The City of Dis Heretics Moderate Level 7 Violent Moderate Level 8 - The Malebolge Fraudulent, Malicious, Panderers Moderate Level 9 - Cocytus Treacherous High

Well, it seems I'm pretty treacherous according to this, though, I don't really betray for more power or for the sake of it. Looks like the sole desire to get away from toxic people it's considered treachery >_>
