They come across a ton of restaurants that are currently very busy, Chain guess because it was around lunch rush and the con. "I think she said something about this place" Chain walked into 'five ponies' "Its rare to see a burger restaurant like this here, must be really good" Chain saw another ponies hay burger "How do they make profit here with that size? The fries are literally in paper shopping bags" Chain was just amazed as he got in line.

Diamond said, recalling the memories of her childhood, She sighed and scoped out the restaurant The air was filled with the fragrance of burger grease and deep fryer oil, A multitude of ponies were stacked in tiny chairs attempting to eat in the limited space of the fast-food eatery. "Yeah I love this place." The mare giggled and turned herself toward Chain, They had just reached the front line. 

 

"So what do you want? I think I'll take a hayburger and a drink."

"I think I will have the same, only a medium as this place has the biggest things on the planet" They order and sit down at one of the tables near the window "So you said something about your brother loving this place? Can I guess you do as well from how you reacted?" Chain asked...the grease was kind of getting to him, he had never smelled this much before.

"Yeah I like it, mostly because HUGE food sizes. Also this restaurant offers a bit of nostalgia, reminding me of simpler times when I didn't have to work three jobs to own a house." Diamond said, her was voice was grew steadily more perturbed as she uttered the last words of her statement. "But that doesn't really matter, So enjoying the food?

Chain bit his burger, not making a dent comparatively "The foods great, a lot better then anything the major companies can dish out because of wanting profit" To be honest this was the best hayburger he had ever had "How did you hold three jobs down? That must have a serious strain on you...sometimes I forget there are ponies like you, my parents certainly don't acknowledge them at all"

"I still work three jobs now, it's not...... enjoyable not even in the slightest, but it's necessary. I obviously don't have a large amount of money and don't want to move into my brother's house, no matter how much he says he doesn't mind. I guess that's part of the reason I was desperate enough to agree to the marriage, So I could get back on my hooves..."  Diamond frowned, glumly staring down at her burger. "I think we should get back to the apartment its getting pretty late."  She said get up from the table

I shouldn't have brought it up...now she won't even eat. Chain thought as he somehow finished the burger "Sure...if you really want to go then lets go" He stood up "I'm sure my parents are dying to hear the news on the date" Chain joked "If you want, its only the afternoon and not around the peak of Luna's moon so I could try a game or two with you" Slight red appeared on his cheeks "I'd love to help anypony with a lot of stress"

"That's sweet Chain, I would gladly except that help." Diamond said, Wrapping her hooves around Chain's neck a kissing him softly on his lips. A few moments went by, Diamond released the Stallion from her embrace and began slowly walking back to the apartment.

 

"Do you have any relatives?"

His first kiss...it felt wonderful but it was over and he was walking behind Diamond in no time. Chain snapped out of it when the next question was asked "Uh...my grandparents died and now all I have is my uncle and my cousin how always says that I'm connected to her just because her name is locket and lockets are on chains...she is young" He explained "I don't know my uncle a lot but from my dad said he is a very good at taking care of ponies and is a doctor"

"A death in the family is always tragic, Um, I already mentioned my brother a few times, He can be a handful sometimes, but his heart is in the right place, and he truly cares for me and my mom deeply. I don't really talk to my mother that much anymore, when I do It's usually on Hearthwarming Eve or some other holiday. As for my dad..... I didn't get to really meet him. He left the house when I was 4 and I haven't seen him since, not that I care though he was a jerk."

Or do you have a story like that too?"

Diamond shrugged as Chain and herself made their way inside the apartment building. 

 

"I mean there's not much else to do excepted walk in awkward silence." Diamond let out a small laugh and then looked up to Chain giving him a uneasy smile.

 

"By that I mean, yes I want do to listen to your story." She explained, her face was flushed with red

"Well me and her were in a situation with a dragon, Banner found her and the town overreacted...one pony was a poacher and tried to kill her which Banner dealt with in a fight I can only describe as one sided. I on the other hoof used the whole attack to show what happens when the whole town is afraid of something they don't understand. The dragon left when the migration came to town. I know that its not very descriptive but it was kind of a blur in my eyes" Chain sighed and chuckled "You know I didn't know about a gamer being set up with me but I guess that is a broad title"

"That's a bit........hard to believe , I mean a dragon? That seems unlikely." Diamond looked up to Chain, a sympathetic look growing her face.

 

"I don't think you're lying however, And it's good you didn't fight anyone, I don't like confrontation." Diamond walked up the apartment stairs and stopped at the opening to their room.

 

"We're here."

"Great, my legs were getting a bit tire-" Chain was interrupted by the sound of fast hoofsteps getting closer "Here comes the welcome wagon" Chain's mother came into the room not two seconds later "So did everything go well? I trust that my child was great on the date" She mumbled something about money in the bank that Chain ignored "I guess you can say that because I spend whatever money necessary for my friends to have a good time with no restrictions" Chains mom got visible a little angry at that but went back to smiling "That's great, but I want to hear it from her"

Can ONE date go by without me having to see these ponies directly after it. Diamond huffed under her breath, taking on a fake smile.

 

"I had a great time with Chain, he's is a real gentleman I could get used to saying with him." Diamond proclaimed, pecking Chain on the cheek slightly.

 

"But right now we're tired and just wanna go home, can we do that please?

"Fine, I'm glad to here it went smoothly" She smiled at Diamond then left the hallway to go back to her room "They really want this to work as if it was a business deal or something, they are far from having actual emotions" He went into the room and sat on the bed "So is this the end of the day or...?"

"Well.........." Diamond blushed before spiriting directly at Chain, glomping him and kissing the stallion compassionately. She slowly released him to began talking

 

"I'm not sure about you Chain but, I still got a little energy to burn. I hope you don't mind if I spend it on you."  The pegasus smiled suggestively before locking lips with Chain once more.

The next morning Chain was asleep with Diamond in the same bed. Chain slowly woke up and saw Diamond next to him. Holy crap, did that just happen?! Chain was freaking out internally till he saw Diamond move a bit. I thought first dates weren't like this! "Uh...wake up, we have a day ahead of us" If my parents don't find out then we have a day ahead of us.

 Diamond barely heard chain when she first stirred awake, several moments passed before the pegasus could formulate an answer.

 

"Really Chain? That's what I should expect mornings to be like when were married, not even an I love you? You are not romantic at all." Blue teased, climbing atop the stallion and rubbing her nose against his

 

"And what's the rush to get up anyway? Let's stay here and cuddle for a while, you weren't so against the idea last night."

I...married? She wants that to happen? I mean there would be no gain in not doing it. Chain looks at her in the eyes. Not like she would do that and be evil about it, what am I worried about...right, my parents. "Sorry, I just didn't think it would go this way. Happy it did but unexpected" Chain had his parents in mind, If anything, they would separate the two if the love became to strong that they couldn't do what they wanted. By then, a million contracts and papers would have been signed and nothing could be done about it. Chain feared it.

"I was joking Chain, you don't have to marry me if you don't want to.... And yeah, that was pretty fast, but I suspected you were stressed out about this whole mess. I was too, and... well... you know."  Diamond sighed, getting off of chain and on to the side of the bed.

 

"Sorry I do tend to mess things up a lot. Were do you need to go?"

"It's not that you mess up things...we don't need to go anywhere" Chain tried to put on a smile as he went over to Diamond's side "I didn't really have anything planned, I thought that we could play some stuff that you wanted t-" He was cut off by loud banging on the door, followed by Chain's mother walking in "If you don't have anything planned then you could go to-" "Do you always have to interrupt, and spy?"  "I don't know what your talking about" She put on a faker smile that Chain had for Diamond earlier "Anyway, I think you should go do the tour of the neightendo building, I bet that would make Diamond happy, right?" She looks to Diamond hoping for something positive

Diamond scowled the timing of Chain's mom, She put her head in hooves and laid back down on the bed with Chain.

 

"The thing that would make me happy the most is spending more time with Chain, in our apartment, ALONE, That would be nice wouldn't it Ms?" The pegasus smiled sarcastically at her before adding:

 

"Beside I've been there before, I know what to expect."

A little growl of annoyance came from Chain's mother "Fine, if it makes you happy" Before leaving she shot a glace at Chain that said 'Don't mess it up'. When she left Chain scoffed "She always does that and its annoying, she plans so far ahead she cant even think of the flaws from the parts she wants to happen...if they wanted a puppet then they could probably make a robot to act as there selling point, not you and me" Chain sighed "I guess we are the cheaper option"
