This isn't anything related to the show really, I was wondering which would you imagine would make a better use for horseback, an equine of flight or an equine of magic and why? :P

Well, if you plan on flying, a pegasus would be the ideal choice.

If you just plan on riding, a unicorn would be ideal.

*unicorn bias here*

A Pegasus would require a few more harnesses, since you pad want to make sure you don't fall off. Also, spells. You want to be the poor robber that get run off by his target's horse, of all things?

I'd have to go with a Pegasus. Though yes, there's a chance of falling off, just don't be an idiot and try to fly up to see Zeus. Even if I didn't take to the skies, it's still a horse with wings! How majestic is that? Wings can also be useful as an intimidation tactic in that it would make the steed look more large and imposing.

Thinking logically here I would have to go with the Unicorn as the magic can be very useful in many different scenario's and there is no guarantee that the Pegasus can fly with your weight let along the weight of your equipment while the unicorn can carry more then a normal steed using it's magic.

I mean...if you found a unicorn skilled enough in magic, it might be able to cast a temporary wing spell, so perhaps you could have both for a short while... ;)

I agree, but don't underestimate the intimidation power o a unicorn. In northern European lore, the unicorn is believed to be am extremely dangerous and powerful, yet beautiful and pure, animal. The unicorn is the national animal of Scotland (look it up. It's true) and it is often depicted as chained down because of how dangerous it is.

Trust me, I didn't. That's part of the reason I flipped my original position; after reading a few articles, I didn't know if it would be a good idea to try riding one of those.
