Has Trixie's Popularity Decreased?

Trixie needs her own episode, honestly. She hasn't been shown much in the series this season, if at all. I always thought she was fun.

 

I haven't really seen many people talk about her, so I'm not too sure on her popularity status.

There still seems to be a pretty good contingent of Trixie fans around, but not so much as before Season 4. The truth is that there really isn't much to her character to be explored, and most of her loose ends have been tied already. Her partial reformation at the end of "Magic Duel" didn't really leave a lot of subject matter for a future return.

 

Her extreme popularity baffles me; initially I liked her name and design, but there really isn't much to her character. I guess it works in that sense, similar to background ponies, in that there is a lot for fan theories to explore.

I think it's due to the fact that seasons 1 to 3 are increasingly seen in negative light as they have not aged well and as a result people care less and less for Trixie. That and the fact the writers don't care for her (which I can understand).
