Should a MLP video game be made?

The thing is though MLP:FiM is a franchise for all ages so they will need to try and get the difficulty right so it won't be boring for the older fans and won't be too difficult for the younger ones.

I think an excellent choice would be a really colorful platformer, maybe a 2D one in the style of the show. Either that or a really cool RPG where you make your own pony character, again in the style of the show. Both of those would allow us to go through the many different places in Equestria and meet many of our beloved characters. ^__^

OH MY GOD YES, I would play the Hay out of that game, Expecisly if it was made like the show, Good For Little Girls, And older Guys.

I think FiM has more than enough material to make a good game out of it, especially a platformer, Adventure game or even an RPG in style of classic FF games or Breath of Fire.

But it all depends on what Hasbro sees, and unfortunately I think they're content with just Farmville knockoffs and quick, cheap minigame compilations and flash games

I wonder if they would team up with another company to make the game.

I'd actually play a MLP video game. There are hardly any video games out there that I truly love, but this kind of game would definitely capture my heart and attention.

The tricky part would just be making it enjoyable for both younger kids and adult fans.

OH YEAH!! That would be amazing! And what better company to turn to than Nintendo since they're the most supportive of child friendly games.

The only drawback is that I'd have to hope I can turn off the thing on my Wii U Friend List that tells my friends what I'm playing at the moment. That and I should probably hide the copy when I'm not playing. (Or I could lie and say I've been letting my girlfriend play it on my system)

And your cutie mark could represent the class your in. that would be awesome.

No. Licensed video games rarely turn out well, and are often rip-offs of other, better games.

The Adventure Time games are a good example of this (though they were apparently liked by many fans ).

I feel like Hasbro would be more selective and wary of the game quality than Warner Bros/CN would be.

You lucky bastard, you.  ;)

I've always imagined that we'd get a grandiose, medieval RPG, where each pony race would correspond to a different character class, and there'd be a rich storyline spanning dozens of hours. A bit like Stick of Truth, but toned down to preserve childhood innocence.

You don't tone down South Park you have to completely erase it and have a completely clean slate. That show is probably the most Rated R show around. It takes innocence to places it doesn't want to be.

On a more serious note other ideas would be....

Friendship Sim. So instead of a dating sim you would be making friends to have a best friend at the end of the game as well as other friends as achievements. Because that's what's in the title and show.

Multi Sports Game Olympics Party or something. There would be racing, events from the Iron Pony contest, Cider chugging with maybe some Equestria Girls Friendship Games or that as a sequel who knows.
