Is The Mane Attraction a good episode for newcomer?

I have been wondering recently, is The Mane Attraction a good episode to show newcomers?

 

It seems to show everything good about the show. The music, the humour and the characters were all great? Or is a season 5 episode too late for them to see.

 

What are your thoughts?

Personally I would show them the first episode. That way I wouldn't spoil the fact that Twilight becomes an alicorn.

And the CMCs getting their cutie mark. That's a shame cause it is such a good episode.

It's a really good episode, but do to things like Twilight being an alicorn and CMC having their cutie marks, I don't really think it would be really good for newcomers to watch.

The same goes for the season as a whole.  I like it but with the amount of continuity in it, I can't say I recommend any episode from season 5 for newcomers to get into the show.

It's probably one of the better season 5 episodes to show a newcomer. A lot of the rest of this season has a lot of continuity callbacks in it. So I wouldn't say it would be a bad idea, I just think you should start someone off with a season 1 or 2 episode instead.

It's definitely not a bad episode to get started with, but why not just start at the beginning. The first episodes are still pretty good, and that way you can avoid spoilers.

The Mane Attraction was very good....but for a newcomer? Depends on the age of them. If it's a kid, I think a fun episode like "The Bed Night Ever" or "Feeling Pinkie Keen" would be good episodes.

 

If it's someone looking for a real meaningful cartoon with feels, then yeah Mane Attraction should suffice

I believe that The Mane Attraction would be a good episode for a newcomer, but only if he or she doesn't mind spoilers. Of course, if he or she has no intentions to get into the show, they may not care about spoilers anyway.

it's a great episode to start with but after that go back to the beginning, for me I watched Party pooped on Youtube which sucked me then it's was back to S1 to get the story but for someone new yeah it's a good suck them in episode

I think its a good one. It shows applejack and who she is in a good light, as well as having some really good music and a  decent plot.

is it THE BEST episode to show a newcomer? probably not, but its still one of the best.

I think any newcomer should watch any slice of life episode from S1 or S2 before adventuring themselves further. It'll spoil many twists otherwise

I was actually thinking of using "The Mane Attraction" as a good demo episode for family members who are not going to ever be bronies.  For me, I might use to to show my parents why MLP:FiM is interesting.  I don't think it's great for getting new people into actually becoming fans due to spoilers, but it would probably be great for older family members.
