gaming Video Game(s) that Made You Take a Ride on the Feels Train?

Basically, any video game that caused a build up of emotion (either good or bad) that lasted maybe for a few minutes to a few weeks. Have you guys experienced any video games like that, if so, why? Why not?

For me, it's easily Life is Strange. It made me take a non-stop one-way Feels Train and the aftermath lasted about two weeks. And I'm still not over it.

When Snake shot The Boss at the end of MGS 3. The fact it doesn't actually happen UNTIL you hit the button for Snake to pull the trigger and set the entire course for the entire series puts things into 4-feel-drive.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons

Oh man, I remember starting that game and thinking "lol funky controls"

But the end utterly destroyed me :c

It's fairly sort, but it's also fairly well-made, I think.

I can't really say too much about it without spoiling anything, but I'd recommend everyone to give it a try.

It's been free with PS+ and Gold before, and it's currently on sale on Steam.

Also,

Borderlands 2

This probably has more to do with me being an oddball, but whatever.

First Handsome Jack was like "look im rich lol screw u"

But then over the course of the game, I sort of felt bad for him, in a way.

I mean, you (the player) basically pops out of nowhere, tries to destroy his life's work, then kill him.

He's made out to be a jackass, but really, who wouldn't want to create a utopia free of bandits and other scum? o:

After my second playthrough, I just felt bad for him... v.v

Telltale's Walking Dead is the king of the feel train.  :(

Life is Strange was good too but the ending was a little predictable.

I saw a little bit of that via Youtube. I got pretty sad when someone die. But then again, the Walking Dead can make me get on the feels train, especially with the TV show as well, when ANOTHER ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS DIED. (no spoilers :P)

As for LiS, the only reason it got me so hard was because

I got way too attached to Chloe and Max's friendship, but when the choice came between sacrificing her or Arcadia Bay, I had to with Chloe. Watching her get shot and then seeing Max cry did it for me, as well as the funeral, especially with the blue butterfly.

All of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, especially Super. There were 3 moments in that game where I had tears in my eyes, and the ending made me cry, as usual. PMD's one of the few series that can bring me on an intense feel trip.

I second this

Also the ending to Persona 4. I don't want to leave Inaba :(

Why does everyone think Life is Strange is a good game?

It didn't make me feel any emotion what so ever.

1.)You could see the ending from a mile away

2.)The plot holes are so terribly patched up

3.)The main character is so pretentious and annoying

... sorry, im going WAAAY off topic...

I'd say Ori and the Blind Forest was a very beautifully done game and made me tear jerk a bit.

Yes! I remember that one. That one got me a tear in my eye, I stilled play it again, though.

off topic:

I think a lot of people like it (including myself) because they get heavily involved in the characters and you're supposed to feel the choices you make because you're watching Max grow. But, really, you're watching Chloe and Max's friendship, so I think people, even though you could see the ending, liked it because some could actually connect with the two-- or any of the side characters for that matter. Such as Kate or Warren. Just imo, though :Psorry if I come off as brash/rude.

I watched some play-throughs of that via Youtube, Ori and the Blind Forest is definitely one of those games. I'm thinking about getting it soon.

Quite a few actually, I am a sensitive person. XP The Walking Dead Season 1 holds the title for the most I have ever cried to a game. I cried for at least 3 hours straight.

Lost Odyssey did give me hardcore feels in one part, that story was incredibly well done in that section. Sadly the rest of that game is pretty cliche.

Metal Gear Solid 4, that was another one. The ending of that game is quite powerful.

Possibly Cave Story, it really shows that even in the end, when triumph arrives, you can't save everyone, even the two closest people that you start with.

King and Toroko, the first two Mimiga you meet, you slowly get attached to (maybe more so Toroko than King, but still). Once you get to  the Sand Zone and enter the Warehouse, you see the Doctor and Misery. Balrog comes and tries to force-feed Toroko a red flower, but King comes and tries to save him. (Here come the feels...) King gets struck by a supposed streak of 'lightning' that Misery sent at him, and is knocked back, and Toroko is instantly fed a red flower. He is turned into Rabid Toroko now. You are forced to kill him in a boss battle, and when you beat him, this happens: Rabid Toroko transforms back into his regular self, then soon 'poof'ing away in a cloud of smoke. (The following quote is from the cave story wiki) "After Quote is forced to kill Toroko, King says that he won't be able to help Quote anymore and asks that he avenge him before dying, leaving his Blade behind for Quote to wield."

The two people you first meet just died in front of you ;-;

What's even worse is that after beating Toroko, instead of the fanfare and text like "You beat [boss name]!", it says "Defeated Rabid Toroko..." with no sound at all.

It doesn't help that this is toroko's theme:

D:! The theme really doesn't help, heh. I don't think I could play the Cave Story if that happened, it would completely ruin me.
