I just realized why Discord isn´t in this episode: He came free because the Elements of Harmony shifted from Celestia to the Mane Six, which didn´t happen here.

 

Also, this episodes are the darkest episodes ever, and I love it

It's not really this episode's fault, it's just time travel episodes are really hard to write without something being convoluted.

That is the nature of time travel, it is one very very complicated beast.

I predict that the next alternated Equestria (if there is going to be any) are going to be a discorded one (discord winned back in the first season finale) and Tirek is back and in full control of the land.

But if it keeps up with this formula it may end up on a repetition.

This episode was all kinds of awesome!  And a nice way to end the season.

I really enjoyed seeing the different timelines the episode provided and the continuity references form past villains as well.

This episode actually made me like Starlight Glimmer as a character more.  So that is another plus.

Add a great new song at the end, and you got one of my favorite episodes this season.
