some back ground, I am a guy and I like to wear skin tight stuff when I work out or when I do anything active. I was on redbuble and they have some awesome MLP leggings and I just could not resist getting a some to try out. (for those that don't know, leggings are the skin tight paints that girls wear all the time. I did not know that was there name, I always heard them called yoga paints) This is the first time I have ever purchased girls clothes for my self. The sizes are so weird. I got a size 12 (the biggest they had) I do have to say it felt very weird to click on the "womens" page when I was looking them up

anyway I got these to wear to the next brony rave I go to and maybe even a non brony rave if I get the guts.Think I can pull it off or do I just look like I am wearing girls pants?

Also what do you think about guys wearing leggings? I am all for it as long as you hide your "stuff" right.

Joe Namath pulled in off it 1974. I have a Rarity dress that I folded the bottom part under and tucked the excess in to make it look like a shirt. Nobody had a clue that I was a guy wearing a girl's dress. It is difficult to find men's MLP clothes other than a few t-shirts. Most bronies are guys but most of Hasbro's merch is still designed for gals.

I say go for it. People will see a pony on a guy's legs and not leggings on a guy's legs.

I think leggings like this can be quite cute. :3 Me personally I would not wear them as they just seem uncomfortable, regardless of gender. I am one of those people that supports wearing clothes of any type regardless of gender, clothes are clothes.

I'm not a fan of girls wearing leggings by themselves; so I'm equally not a fan of males wearing them. This is mainly because leggings leave very little to imagination. They go into...um, crevasses and it doesn't look right. And it's even worse when girls don't cross their legs; and guys usually just sit "free." I'm trying to be diplomatic about this... :please:  This isn't the case for everyone that wears leggings, of course, but they were meant to be worn under a dress or some article of clothing that covers the bottom for a reason.

So my original plan was to wear some super short 1 inch running shorts over these, but then when I got them, I did not want to cover up a bunch of the graphics. Also I think I have kept any "crevasses" from showing as best I can. Anyway, do you think a pair of 1 inch running shorts would still show too much? Something like thishttp://www.runningwarehouse.com/BOA_Mens_1inch_Elite_Split_Leg_Short/descpage-BMESL.htmlor thishttp://www.runningwarehouse.com/Nike_Mens_2_Printed_Racer_Short/descpage-NM2PRS.html

Omg the ones you got are so cool, I actually planned on buying some for a costume I'm planning to make but I don't feel like I would have the confidence to wear some outside or something :/

I'd never wear one of those, I would get arrested.

Jokes aside I am fine with people wearing them. But I would never reccomend anyone to wear leggings in Norway anyway.

Especially if you are a guy, you will freeze your.....

Ok, you get my point.

Other than that they look cool, but I think they are a bit too revealing.

That goes for both genders though.

Not quite leggings but they don't seem to be having a problem with things freezing off lol.

I think that that would be more modest. I understand the necessity of skin tight clothes for sports such as running and swimming. ^-^ Running around in baggy shorts isn't practical. But, I personally believe trying to remain as modest as is reasonably possible is a good thing. That may sound old fashioned, but that's my personal opinion. :)

If you want to wear it then go ahead. I don't wear leggings myself and only stick to tights/skirts but it doesn't really bother me either way what someone is wearing. And unless you're walking around naked (or have something pointlessly offensive on your clothing) then it shouldn't be anyone else's business what a stranger is wearing. I do feel like you should wear something like shorts or a longer shirt/jacket above it though so it doesn't show off...y'know but that's up to you. Those leggings do have a nice design tho and completing the outfit with a DJ Pon-3 shirt I think you'd fit in fine at a rave.

Its not the leggings keeping them warm, they have like 3 layers under it.

When you go skiing you gotta have layers.

That's awesome.  Good for you, SolidTwilight!  Fashion is a huge interest of mine, and I love to give a big middle finger to society by challenging what guys are "supposed" to wear.  I hate fashion double standards.  I wear dresses and a variety of revealing and feminine type clothing.  I shop for women's stuff a lot because a lot of the stuff I want just isn't marketed for men.  That said, for the most part I don't think leggings typically look that good on males, which I am resentful of, because I wish I could wear form fitting stuff that flatters my figure.  I guess it's mostly because of the male "package", you know...  As you said, you have to hide it right, I guess, but then I find that uncomfortable.  That's why I go with looser fitting, but still bold such as skirts and the like.  Anyway, I'm all for everyone wearing exactly what they want, regardless of sex.  It's actually a big passion of mine.  Almost like a life-mission or crusade or something.  The more minds we can open, the better.  But leggings are difficult for guys to pull off well, I think.  Some guys can do it.  Henry Cavill can do it, and you, my friend, can do it.

Big thanks to every one that replied and took the poll. I was really nervous about how people would respond to this and it great getting some honest feedback (even though it from the most open minded and accepting group of people I know). it's great to be able to read back through this post when I think about never wearing this kind of stuff to help remind me that it can be done.

First of all, those leggings are really cool, and they look great on you. Second, of course guys can wear leggings! Everyone can wear whatever they want, pieces of cloth don't have genders and as long as you cover what you need to to be warm and sanitary modesty is just a social concept, a choice that you should be allowed to make for yourself, though some people seem to think otherwise. I've always found it so odd that we're the only animals who feel ashamed of our bodies, but I suppose that's a discussion for another day, in another place. Point being, you do you friend, you look fabulous and you should keep looking fabulous in your awesome leggings!
