gaming What type of Sonic games are you into?

I did try Sonic 3 and Knuckles. But it didn't make me an instant fan of the series, since i was used to those types of 2D platformers like Jazz Jackrabbit, my brother installed it for me on a PC and it was plenty of fun. But its not like i was like OOOh, but it was good, same with Mario on Super Nintendo.

But when i tried Sonic Adventure 2 Battle on Gamecube at a friend i was amazed at the time how good it was. I even like some of the music. And also because it tried to be so intensively cool! Just the whole experience in general.

So is there any type of Sonic games you like?

Just the ones that I think are good, like having a good experience. The newer Sonic games (Sonic Boom being the only exception) have that good experience that I enjoy.

I am more of a fan of the 3D Sonic, despite how flawed many of them are, even the glorious Sonic Adventure 2 has aged quite terribly. My main reason for this is that the 2D games are just far too chaotic. This is why I was never a huge fan of the 2D Sonic games, the whole emphasis on speed is far less cluttered with a 3D space in mind, you can potentially see where things are coming from instead of having the edge of the screen be your worst enemy.

I'm really only into the 3D ones. I've always found the 2D ones boring personally. I still love Sonic Adventure 1/2 despite how...weird they kinda are at some points.

With Sonic Generations being my personal favorite (only on PC tho, love those character mods since I've always liked the other Sonic characters more than Sonic).

All things considered, I have fonder memories with Sonic Adventure 1/2, Shadow the Hedgehog ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, and even '06 (as well as the other 3D games obviously) than I did with any of the 2D games.

There plenty of hit and misses, I think sega should understand, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it.". Just when they have something right, the put some gimmick in a new release and screw it up somehow. Personally, there is no sonic game that I actually hate. Even Rise if lyric was fun for me, (Even if the only reason why I like it is because of the glitches...) I mostly prefer the boost games, and the sonic adventure games, (06 included).

The Megadrive (Genesis) Sonic games such as Sonic 1/2/3 (although I don't have 3 yet).

The 2 Dreamcast Sonic games, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2

Sonic Unleashed's Day stages.

and

Sonic Generations.

I'm pretty mixed on the Sonic series, I mainly love the 2D titles, but there are a few 3D titles I enjoy, like the adventure titles, Heroes, Colors and Generations

I grew up with the sonic adventure series, so I might not have started off on the "right foot." I never really got into the 2D stuff, but colour's interesting stylization and presentation really won me over.

Personally, I've always have been moreso partial to the originals on the Genesis (1-3&K). I felt they had some of the best level design and music in general. I do like some of the 3D titles (i.e. Heroes, Generations and Lost World), but I still feel the original trilogy was the best in the series.

i never liked sonic adventure 2 though tbh

I prefer 2d Sonic games but I have enjoyed 3d Sonic games. I haven't played a new Sonic game since Sonic Heroes which I enjoyed quite a lot and will defend although it had some incredibly frustrating glitches. Sonic Adventure did not impress when I finally tried it. I'd already played Adventure 2 which I got enjoyment out of but it doesn't live up. 2d ones I can usually enjoy in any circumstance. Even 2d sonic games aren't immune from screw-ups though, the 3DS version of Sonic Generations was awful.

How about all of them? The 3D games are probably my favorites though. 2D just does not work so well for Sonic outside of Sonic Rush.

Sonic Generations would have been better if they had less 2D sections in the Modern Sonic stages.

I enjoy a bunch of the Sonic games. I don't really have a preference of 2d or 3d.

I love Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and 3, Robotniks Mean Bean Machine, Sonic Fighters (I always struggled against Bark and Fang), Sonic Battle, Sonic Heroes, Sonic CD, Sonic Rush and so on.
