Would the ponies be better off ruling over us? Basically invade Earth, perform 'Execute Order 66' on all our world leaders, rule over us with an iron hoof until we bow down in fear before our pony masters. Once we learned to accept them as our leaders, they become far less harsh toward us and grant us far more freedoms.

 

We try refute them with arguments, but they just call us "You are stupid violent apes! Without our intervention you are doomed to destroy yourselves. Count yourself lucky we didn't just send your planet into the sun." 

 

But in time stop us fighting one another over stupid things and actually stop us causing our own extinction due to our stupidity.

Considering it is a kids show, and this would never actually happen then no. 

 

Even if these magical ponies were real why would it be better for us to be ''ruled'' over by anything other than ourselves? Not sure if you would enjoy being enslaved by colourful ponies but I can bet must people woudln't, it's also annoying to hear people always talk about '' to save humanity from destroying it'self '' while spending their time sat behind a keyboard.

Honestly, I don't know.

 

Equestria does seem like a much better, happier place. The ponies do their best to make sure everyone's happy. The only problem is, we don't live in Equestria. Ponies don't know humans like we do, and making all of us happy is already nearly impossible. No way a different species would know how to rule our land and do it successfully.

Subjugation breeds hatred and violence, and we are perfectly capable of doing so ourselves. The ponies would not want to rule over us, I think, just live in peace with us. And we humans would have massive riots over accepting them as citizens in human cities and eating horse meat and all that nice stuff. I think the human and pony worlds should stay well separated. We don't even tolerate all humans, let alone another species entirely.
