Starting off the New Year! Ideas & Thoughts

Hello, everypony! I haven't been around much of late, but I'm hoping to change that. I've been dealing with a few things on my own, mainly anxiety and depression. I've gotten pretty good at keeping my depression in check, especially with the help of my now-fiance, but it always gets bad in the winter.

I suppose I should explain the "fiance" bit... I got engaged this November! My love was the Beast in a local production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. He did an outstanding job, it was great listening to him to sing as it always is. At the end of the last show, he asked me to step on stage and, in princely attire, asked me for my hand in marriage. What girl could say "No" to a handsome prince? Now I'm planning a wedding for next Sept. shortly after my birthday [and before his... we're the laziest people. It's smack dab between our birthdays.] and it will be renaissance themed!

I've been hard at work getting my tabletop game store going. We've now branched into puzzles, dart supplies, some crafts, and, of course, more games! It has been going great recently--I've even had a few bronies in to play the MLP TCG. Significance of that? This is small town Minnesota! It is impossible to find fellow fans in these woods. I also have a cinema commercial that is running in a local theater starting the 14th of January. I had less than 10 days [during finals week, when I was way behind in class mind you] to write, record, animate ect the darn thing with no help. THAT was an interesting experience, but I can't wait to see it on the big screen!

That aside, I've also been kept extremely busy with illustration and design work! I'm nearing graduation for my AAS in graphic design. [yay!] And, dare I mention, I've been playing with animation quite a bit in my free time. Who knows, might be able to do some fun stuff in the future. I've been keeping busy with graphic design jobs outside of school already, so I'm taking that as a good sign. I do work for Looney Labs, a game company... which works because I also carry their product in my store! The last design job I had from them allowed me to do a hint of illustration. I'm hoping this leads to more! I know I could hold my salt if they gave me the chance! <3

Personal projects have mostly been put on hold, but I am still trying to keep up with my comic. I've fallen behind due to an overload of work right around finals week/holidays, but I have two pages in the sketch stage right now. I've also combed through all of my social outlets and everything is a version of Kiracub or Kira Moses.

While I was going through everything, I was thinking about different streams I could start. I already do the art stream somewhat often, so why not actually crack open my Steam stash and get that going? Right now I've started playing through Star Wars: Force Unleashed. Since I have two and I'm on a Star Wars hype. [Currently wearing a shirt with a Star Wars version of my college's logo. We basically rebranded the college for the Star Wars movie....] But yeah! If you're interested in watching, I'll be announcing streams via Twitter and statuses and other outlets! Twitch Link <--if you want to follow on Twitch.

So yeah... I think that's all for now. Mainly just me trying to get more involved. Feel free to give me your thoughts on any of this, or share your own ambitions for the New Year!

Well lets see, when 2020 started I got sick. Literally, New Years Eve night. Everything just went downhill from there hah. I still have goals for this year though and by god I am going to reach them if it kills me. You just keep bringing on your worst, 2020. :sneer:

The New Year of 2016. The highlight of my life. New Years are always so cold and dark. I say, try survive and get as much sun as you can!
