How do you think the world will look like in 2070

I am not sure if i will live that long. Considering i am not a health eating person

 

I imagine a total futuristic society. Wars world wide was over in 2030. And unity of the world has progressed much since then, and 2050 much economic income world wide, every country has their share of welfare, education for all, war is a thing of the past. In 2070 we can travel independently to the moon! :comeatus:

Maybe in that time or before that we'll create something that makes us warp to virtual reality and communicate with other beings in another universe. How cool would that be?

If things continue the way they are now then the planet will probably be dead with very few people surviving. If things such as the environment improving and the possible replacement of capitalism happen I imagine the world could be a very good place with many humans living in computers.

I'd bet I won't be there, either. In fact, I'm going to give a 98% chance that I won't be around anymore. lol

 

Anyway, I expect it to...not be like any of us are expecting. It's only 54 years in the future, after all! Technology will have advanced massively in some areas, but won't in areas that people always think of (you know, like how fictional future shows pre-2000 always showed flying cars, yet had mobile devices of technological levels that were outdone over a decade ago).

I am going to be a very old man by then, assuming I am still alive. By then we very well could have made contact with aliens, the universe it too huge for us to be the only intelligent species out there and with technology advancing faster than ever it is something could happen by then. Aside from that though I would sincerely hope that we will have advanced as a species and I don't just mean technologically but morally and spiritually. The more technology advances the more important it is for us to have a strong ethical foundation because much of what we have today and may likely have by then could be do serious damage if it misused.

I expect that the whole "technology" boom as we know it (smaller phones, smaller tablets, smaller computers) will have slown down by then, and those items will have become even cheaper and more commonplace. The terrorist movement will have changed the definition of "war", so while governments will only very rarely declare war on other governments, there will still be armed guerrilla groups trying to take over governments and generally being a neusance. I expect that by 2070, thanks to a larger number of individuals who decide to stay single late into their lives, as well as most likely even higher divorce and separation rates, that for the first time ever we'll see a gradual trend towards a decreasing birth rate. Finally, the trend seems (and this is not a comment on the US political system, mind you) that many more countries will have adopted socialism. Also, expect China to be either Socialist or Capitalist by this time, to be unionized, and to have already become so commonplace that their items are being undercut in price by African companies.

I think that unless climate change is mitigated we are going to start seeing drastic consequences past 2030. Think bad storms, flooding, and the beginning of mass extinctions. Couple this with dwindling resources and environmental degradation I see wars over water and raw resources. We will live with less stuff and the population should too off and stagnate. I think we will be worse off in terms of quality of life now but better off in technology.

Well there could be two possibilities.

 

One is that we are much more advanced with a lot more tech and to the point where we rely on it completely. People will easily be able to have body enhancements such as better eye sight, night vision and much more that are not just about the eyes. Space travel will be much easier and we would of learned a lot more about space. Even possibly found aliens but not met them, we just know they are there. Flying cars of course will be a think since that's what everyone wants and i highly doubt it won't happen. Computers will be so advanced and costs tons. This includes storage which will be a lot larger then a TB and download speeds would even possibly be a GB/s or more.

 

Or the other possibility is everything was destroyed by war because of world war 3 since a lot of country's started to run out of resources and their only option was war. Radiation everywhere and most cities such as London or new York will be abandoned because of radiation and most buildings destroyed by nuclear warfare.
