web Is it unethical to use artwork by other people for icons and signatures?

I would love to use artworks too, for my profile pictures, but I don't, out of respect. I only use them in more private places, like my computer or Discord.

My signature was made specifically for me and the person who made it ( @Sparklefan1234) definitely wanted me to display it. He also wanted me to display the profile banner he made for me. My icon is my own so I can use that at my own will anytime.

That being said, displaying artwork that won't get you in trouble or art you asked permission to use is ok but stealing art and claiming it as yours is not ok.
