Wind Chaser 4,768 February 20, 2016 Share February 20, 2016 I personally find Trixie the most highly overrated character in the fandom, really because there isn't much to explore in her character. There wasn't much to her character to begin with besides an ego streak a mile wide. The half-assed reformation she pulled in "Magic Duel" is really not worth anything in the grand scheme of the show, and there isn't much else that she's proved herself capable of that would warrant a return. It's good riddance from where I stand.

She was more or less your typical Saturday Morning Cartoon villain and being overly campy was her nature and honestly I did like her acting as that over the top villain.
Steve Piranha 29,419 February 21, 2016 Share February 21, 2016 Pony facebook page hinted that Babsy might return this season, so I wouldn't rule out that Trix will do so too Sig by Discords

sweetolebob18 728 February 24, 2016 Share February 24, 2016 According to Hasbro, the 1st 3 seasons covered 1 year. Magic Duel was probably one of the last adventures before Magical Mystery Cure (& Twilight becoming an alicorn). Season 6 will probably cover Spring and/or Summer of year 2. So, it will be about a year since Trixie was in Ponyville. She was supposed to be reforming (I have my doubts) & it would be nice to see how that is working. She could be Starlight Glimmer's parole officer or Councilor

AlicornAcolyte 254 March 2, 2016 Share March 2, 2016 Well, either she will, or she won't. What's the point in speculating when we have no idea?
Roughshod 719 March 2, 2016 Share March 2, 2016 (edited) In a cameo perhaps, or more likely just a background pony. Since her 'reformation' there's not much to go on with regards to her character unless they introduce some new conflict based around her. It's more likely that we will see Moon Dancer and ESPECIALLY Starlight Glimmer in the next season then Trixie. You can't really do anything with Trixie now, because it's kinda done now.Why not all three? Well, either she will, or she won't. What's the point in speculating when we have no idea? We're speculating because we don't know. That's the whole point. It's good riddance from where I stand.I'm surprised you didn't realize this but the irony of over-rating a character with such a large ego is really what's driven her appeal throughout the fandom, even if many fans aren't aware of the fact consciously. Her reformation in my opinion wasn't half-assed, it just bluntly showed that her character isn't really interested in being reformed because her underlying ego and self confidence is so strong that any humbling gesture is still, in her view, something worth appraising herself for. It's a sardonic smirk in the face of the show's sentimentality and high respect for its own message. A message Trixie may never really appreciate, at least not in how her appearances in the show have demonstrated(I haven't read all the comics though). But she's likely never to come back for a full appearance anyway. The show has changed greatly since her last big appearance and I'm finding it hard to see how she would fit in.
