I've heard there are other types but I've only ever had belgian waffles. Seems like that's the main kind of waffle maker you see everywhere.

What do you guys like on them? Waffles need whipped cream to achieve maximum awesomeness!

Oh wait, my mom has a pizelle maker! They probably count as waffles.

There was a recipe my grandmother had that my family used to make every Sunday evening when I was yougner---we've since switched to pancakes, which cook much faster (even as an adult, we still get together on Sundays to eat togeter).  These waffles are really fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and delicious all-around:

6 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1 cup cottage cheese
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla

My family tended to make a batch and a half to feed two kids and two adults.

Mainly because of the taste. These waffles are neither to thick or thin. Belgian for example waffles are to thick for my taste tbh. And I really love the heart shaped form of these.I don't have a picture at my hand at the moment.
