"Alright then. Well, let's go," Vazquez said as he turned to leave the death room.

 

He walked out at a quick pace, eager to get this fight going. Vazquez was also hoping that the others would watch, so that they could see him beat Evangeline in person.

 

Vazquez walked out through the front doors, awaiting Evangeline.

"So eager and ready to go, just like a good utensil." She walked with Vasquez side by side till they were at the designated place of the fight.

 

"Tell you what, I'll even let you try for the first stab once we get started. Doesn't even matter where, just swing your little hatchet wherever you like... " She said this all in the most condescending tone she could muster, sneering at him with pure sadistic confidence oozing from her expression.

Mackenzie shook herself out of her stupor and stretched out a hand to Vazquez "wait, aren't weapons and meister supposed to fight together?" She asked in genuine confusion, looking between him and Wolf. ( yes I know weapons are allowed to fight each other but Mackenzie's a noob ). She leaned closer to Vazquez, dropping to a whisper. "Why? On the first day?"

"You saw me turn just my arm into a blade remember? I can fight on my own if I have to, and I don't want to drag you into this. Nygus seemed to appear from the shadows as she chuckled. "Anxious to start a fight already, I see. Okay, I give you both permission to begin. However, if I feel that anyone is in immediate danger, I will step in and stop the fight. You are not to do serious damage to anyonr. Understood?"

Vazquez cracked his neck and transformed his arm into its blade form. He then proceeded to immediately lunge for Evangeline's face.

 

"Here's some payback for what you family's done!" He yelled as he attacked.

 

If he got lucky, Vazquez could end this in one hit.

It all happened in slow motion to Evangeline as she watched Vasquez lunge straight for her face with his blade, grinning all the while. Wire threaded through the concrete from her feet, planting her in the ground as steady as any tree. As the blade almost touched her face, it began to glow down the middle, sickeningly opening up like a Venus Flytrap as it let its pray enter its maw. Micro thin wires coiled quickly around the blade, clamping down on it so thoroughly that all movement was halted before she closed up her head around it. Her smile was parted by the blade as she stared down its length straight into Vazquez's eyes.

 

Viciously she lunched her hand into his open mouth during this instant, inserting her gloved hand deep inside the roaring mouth that cried out in vengeance against her families deeds.

 

She promptly converted those digits into her weapon form, snaking it down his throat and into his stomach, careful not to touch his insides too much as they would cut and burn for both their sharpness and their lack or resonance with one another.

 

"Checkmate..." She cooed as she held them in that pose. "...A little lesson on war....If you do not know your opponent, you are going to fail. If you strike out in rage, you are going to fail. If you do not think of every single potential outcome with your opponent could be, you are going to fail."

 

She let her wire lightly touch his gullet, just a little bit, enough to give him an unpleasant burn inside him. "I could of killed you in so many ways just now..." she could see inside him through her wire "...so many ways... I could liquefy your internal organs if I wished it, with just a flick of a wrist...." She slid her face down the length of his blade, letting her wires scrape across its surface, making the most sickening screeching noise.

 

"...But you strike out for your family, I see it in your eyes. I understand where you are coming from... you will fight for your family regardless of who they are and what they've done because to you they are your kin. In that respect we are one in the same... Surrender now, and I will spare you... Vazquez"

 

For once in her whole time here, she seemed sincere, even if their situation was entirely creepy and dangerous.

 

"All I need is a nod yes..."

Evangeline truly did have him at checkmate. Any move from either himself or her could result in his death, leaving him no way to counter. A chill ran down his spine when she said his name. Vazquez begrudgingly nodded ever so carefully. They both knew he was beaten.

 She promptly ejected his blade from her skull and reformed it as it exited her back into flesh and bone. she turned the wires in his body into energy and retracted them back into the gloved fingers they were initially. Without saying a word she unrooted herself from the concrete and swayed her hips as she walked back into the building, passing the teacher and onlookers as she entered the door. 

 

She had more respect for Vazquez now. Before he was a bratty tool. That was the burgeoning young man whom had known loss and wanted to rectify it. Loss enacted by her family. It made her unease about their actions all the more conflicting in her mind closed the door and walked off, not knowing exactly where she was heading.

Vazquez bent over, coughed, and turned his arm back to normal. He unfortunately had to recognize that he had been reckless and Evangeline has exploited it.

 

"We just met and she's already sticking things in my mouth," he chuckled to himself.

 

Vazquez then got back up and said to Mackenzie with a weak smile, "See? Told you I wouldn't get hurt that bad."

Mackenzie wasn't very amused. "You're lucky Evangeline is able to control the weapon as part of her body." She hissed.

 

Mackenzie herself was shaken. 'The microfilament wire is a deadly weapon in the right hands.' She mused. 'However, normally, it's lightweight nature and the presence of air resistance make it an extremely impractical weapon to be used in any other way other than in invisible traps. It's like trying to wield an unweighted fishing line.'

 

Mackenzie's expression darkened. 'However, being the weapon form of a weapon negates the downfalls as she is able to control it's movements as parts of her own body. It's impossible to beat this mix of mobility and deadly precision as a meelee weapon.'

 

She shook her head, resetting her expression. "But I'm glad you're safe Vazquez. I'd hate to lose my partner on the first day."

Vincent turned towards Lizzy with a curious expression, she seemed...familiar, or perhaps it was just the odd look in her emerald eyes that reminded him of someone from his past. "That's was quite a fight wasn't it?" He uttered,  hoping to have some small talk as he had grown to be a bit bored. 

 

"Say...would you like to test your strength as well?"  He smiled towards the young lady with the furry hood, In reality Vincent had already seen the strengths of Vazquez and Evangeline, and was now curious of Lizzy's. "will she take the bait?" He thought to himself.

As Evangeline walked through the halls of the school, lost in thoughts she couldn't quite articulate she passed by a door that gave her an odd feeling. She slithered out one of her wires out to slide it under the door of that room and peer inside it. Through her wire she could see a nurses office and an interesting looking blond woman writing on a clip board. Just like Lord Death and Evangeline herself, she gave off a sensation that she was concealing something, but it was so faint that Even the Romanoff had a hard time pegging what was so... off about her. 

 

She looked up at the sign above her head and examined with her wire that the door wasn't locked and she was the only one in the room. It probably wouldn't be taboo if she just knocked and entered. Still she couldn't help but freeze at the door and just stare at the woman through her microfilimant. There was just something about her that she just couldn't quite put a word too. 

Steeling her resolve she retracted her wire and knocked on the door to the nurses office before opening it.

She peeked in after she knocked, like she didn't realize the woman was in the room before making a rather convincing act of spotting her. 

 

"Sorry for intruding, My name is Evangeline, I'm new to this school and I saw this was the nurses office. Thought I'd pop into say hello..."

Nygus turned to Mackenzie and softly placed her hand onto her shoulder.

Nygus:

"I can see that you'll have a lot of work to do with your weapon. Be sure to help him understand that revenge is not always the best way to get what he wants" Nygus whispered to Mackenzie.

Nygus:

"Hm. She must be off to the nurse. I'm sure she'll be back" she said to herself with a shrug.

Wolf yawned and blinked a few times, appearing completely unimpressed with the the fight that just unfolded. "Well... That was short" she said sarcastically with a smile. She then turned to Vincent and asked "Hm! You want to fight me?" Wolf thought for a moment... "...A meister vs meister" she added under her breath, cracking her knuckles.

"Looks like your meister will be fighting me! Watch carefuly, my friend" Wolf laughed. It wasn't that she was expecting to win, it was that she was plain excited!

As soon as Nygus had said  this Vincent began walking a few steps away from lizzy until his distance from her was exactly 3 meters , He had made sure to keep this distance exact. Vincent placed his hands behind him and glared towards Lizzy, "Let's see what you've got" He frowned, showing a bit of his true colors, his expression and tone more analytical and serious. Vincent's over coat began billowing as he stood dead still , waiting for Lizzy's attack.

Wolf smiled devilishly as she swiftly ran toward Vincent, almost seeming invisible. "Get ready" she advised as she suddenly appeared next to her opponent- changing her stance to an attacking one. She lashed at him with her palm, aiming for his chest. Wolf was one of the unique individuals who could execute soul force. (Similar to Dr. Stein).

Lizzy's palm struck hard towards Vincent's chest , the impact so strong it hurled his body into the Wall behind him, crashing hard into it's surface and causing the wall to crumble. "Wow, Baby, You sure are a Heart breaker" He retorted with an goofy grin , staggering himself out of the rubble, his chest feeling as if a freight train had just struck him. "Now....I have a few tricks up my sleeve as well" He grinned , taking off his over coat , revealing his sleaveless shirt and an athletic physique, his arms covered with strange tattoos. The tattoos began to glow as rocks below him floated quickly towards his arms, congealing and forming Large gauntlets , it's knuckles lined with complex runes. He punched his fists hard on the ground causing a large echoey sound wave before quickly blitzing at top speed , appearing behind lizzy, aiming towards her gut and striking quickly.

When Vincent took a direct hit from her, Wolf watched as her opponent flew hundreds of feet back- violently crashing into one of the academy's outer walls. She slowly retracted her hand and returned to her fighting pose- ready for Vincent to come at her. "Being a heart breaker is what I do best, sweetheart" she replied back to the man with a smug smile.

 

When Vincent began executing his attack, Wolf stepped back. "What? He can control the earth underneath him?" she thought to herself. Wolf had never seen anything like this before. Before she could react, Vincent had already managed to sneak up behind her. Vincent struck her core with such force that some blood trailed up out of her mouth. Wolf was sent back, falling onto the ground on her back. She coughed a few times and then let out a small laugh. "Man... With powers like that, you don't even need a weapon!"

 

For a moment, Wolf lied on the ground. When she regained her composure, she staggered to her feet- wiping the excess blood from her mouth. She suddenly bolted toward Vincent, fist clenched and aimed right at him.

She coughed a few times and then let out a small laugh. "Man... With powers like that, you don't even need a weapon!"

"Says the Cutie who smashed me through a wall" Vincent winked as Lizzy regained her footing, The injuries on Vince's chest were starting to take their toll... He needed to finish this quickly.

 

 

 

For a moment, Wolf lied on the ground. When she regained her composure, she staggered to her feet- wiping the excess blood from her mouth. She suddenly bolted toward Vincent, fist clenched and aimed right at him.

Wolf lashed at Vincent virtually at the same speed he was coming at her. With both their firsts out, Wolf's made impact on Vincent's face, forcing his body to slightly slide back. Wolf braced herself, knowing that she was about to be punched back herself.

"50 gauge War Cannon!" Vincent smiled as his fist struck with a powerful force, completely unaware of Lizzy's soul fist about to impact his face. 

 

BOOM!!!!

 

The Sound of both Punches impacting at once was so strong it caused a mild shock wave of sound and aura.

 

Vincent felt the blood rushing out of his skull as Lizzy's punch connected, causing  his head to twist a bit in the punch's direction, spattering a bit of his blood as the punch lodged on his cheek. He may have hit her as well but the cost was dire. "Say, You're pretty strong~" He smiled before his eyes turned white knocking himself out for a brief moment.

Mackenzie flinched as the pressure waves of the attacks hit her, blowing her hair back slightly. 'Why is everyone here so strong? I don't belong here....' She murmured, her hands clenching into fists. 'I can barely control my own soul wavelength. Wolf can use soulforce at will and Vincent's a shaman.'

 

She stared at her feet once more. 'Maybe I shouldn't have come to the DWMA at all...'

As Vincent's fist made contact with her face, the force made her neck twist a bit, making a shock of pain shoot up her head. "You're strong yourself... Although, we're pretty close, yeah?" she asked with a sweet smile. After a few seconds, Wolf pulled away from the lock and rested her hands on her knees- breathing heavily. "How about we call it a tie for now?"

 

Nygus came up to the two and scribbled something down on her clip board.

Nygus:

"Nicely done, you two".

Vazquez couldn't help but be a little sore that he had been beaten in one move, yet these two were more powerful than him without even being weapons.

 

"Hey, Mackenzie," he said. "Since the fight's over, maybe we should go and practice like Lord Death said we should."
