I can confirm the first 2 seasons are available on Netflix in Japan. You can listen in English or Japanese. Thanks for making this topic, I wouldn't have known otherwise! :)

It actually already is on Netflix, in Australia at least, I'm not sure if it's on Netflix in other countries though. If not, then I would say yes

He's actually right to the point where My Little Pony(Along with Transformers Prime, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Transformers: Rescue Bots, Pound Puppies, Littlest Pet Shop, and even the original Jem and the Holograms are available to watch.

But that being said, I can see a future where new episodes of My Little Pony may end up airing on Netflix.

Not to be pedantic, but I prefer female pronouns, thanks

In what country are you in where MLP:FIM is not available on Netflix?

Title says it all, really. Since Cable television is dying out, should Friendship is Magic be moved to Netflix, or any other similar sites?

It is on Netflix in America. I'm just saying that a lot of people are losing interest in cable.

Please be more specific, as this statement is overly broad and therefore inaccurate.

Here is Australia we have up to season 5, sadly no season 6 yet, but if this season is going to be anything like 5, it won't be long.
During season 5, we started getting episodes before the season was done airing  :squee:

You guys pay $130!! Over here, we pay $70(NZD), which is like $48 USD, for an extended TV service, but then again we get way less channels compared to the US.

People are getting tired of paying a hundred and thirty dollars just to watch cable.

I'm American, and we have S1 to S5 and the EQG trilogy. Now, as to people complaining about "No S6 on Netflix boo-hoo!", don't bother. Netflix will not put S6 until it's finished. Why? Mostly because they can't. It's a thing they have with Discovery Family. But hey, I have the damn channel, so I'm recording S6 and watching it. No complaints here :D

That price ($130 or so) is usually indicative of a package that includes home phone and internet.

In Australia, we have a thing called FreeTV, I think its called FreeView now, and it comes with 28 Free to watch HD channels  :vsTALhM:

So long as Cable companies have a monopoly on Internet service provision, Cable television will never die out; Cable companies tie in Internet service as a bundle and artificially jack up the price to buy internet alone so that you're essentially forced to buy both.

If Cable starts dropping in subscriptions, Internet prices will "miraculously" start to rise for standalone prices in order to pressure people into continuing to buy the packages.

We also have Freeview in New Zealand but my family uses the Sky TV option with the Vodafone TV service (which also includes phone + internet). I think the Australian equivalent to Sky TV is Foxtel.

If you mean the older episodes they're literally already all there lol

As for newer episodes, well, the show is one of the Hub/Discovery Family's biggest successes and the channel is tied to Hasbro still I think sooooo... unlikely, until a season is over it ain't gonna be there.

I wish it was available on Google Play or something else that's digital, not subscription-based and not iTunes.

MLp's totally available on Google Play as well, in the US anyway. Episodes usually show up pretty soon on there to buy.

Yes I think it is, I used to have it, but ended up not being worth the price, Netflix is much better.

For Australia at least, only seasons 1 to 3 are available. Much better to pay for a month of Netflix and watch all 5 seasons. You can even get a free month trail  :yay:
