Dear Princess Ponyversia,

Well, it's been 2 weeks since my encounter with the Grimdark
fan sector, and my recovery is going very well. I underwent
a number of steps on my road to recovery, but first I decided
to try what my friends suggested; get back to the good stuff.

Yesterday, I went out and spent some time in Zilker Park, my
favorite place. The grass was green, the birds were singing,
the sun was shining, everybrony was having the best of days.
Over the hills, I could see the local bros frolicking in their
natural environment. I was so happy. I even caught another
episode of the show on my netbook while I was out there; Season
6 is shaping up to be interesting. I only wish CrzTl could
have been there to enjoy it with me, but I guess we can't have
everything. I'm sure Elysium has some nice parks too, so she's
probably happy as well, or as close as she can be without me.

I also went back to the library tree and did some research.
Some bronies say the best weapon against fear and other negative
emotions is knowledge, so I sought to understand and educate
myself about what had disturbed me. I learned all about Gallows
Humor, Black Comedy, Grand Guignol, Horror plays, and the history
of Splatter films. While reading about these things didn't make
the content any less uncomfortable, it did make it easier to move
on knowing this exists, and to understand the human motivation
behind why they create this. I even discovered that sometimes,
the negative excitement generated can magically be converted into a
positive emotion, love and passion, when a couple watches together!
So at least some more good can come of it.
 

The forum is a wondrous place, all my friends were there for me and

very supportive through all this. I'ts just like Manny the wise old

Mastodon once said; "That's what you do in a herd. You look out for

eachother." Time goes on. I continue to discover new subcultures and

learn what I can from them about the Human experience, and those sub-
cultures continue to interact with us bronies. One culture from a
faraway land, the Juggalos, have even extended their hands to us
in friendship, if their leader really said what the rumors indicate.
Sadly, our enemies, the Anti-Bronies and SJWs to the South, continue
to tell lies and make trouble, but we do the best we can to stay
true to the Elements of Harmony, and to show brokind the communal
way can be a better way for all. What can I say; the Goddess is
great, Mountain Dew's good, and mopoes are crazy.
