The villain of the movie

The Diamond Dogs, Flim and Flam, Ahuizotl, Garble, Queen Chrysalis, King Sombra (discounting the comics), Lightning Dust, Dr. Caballeron, the Mane-iac, Suri Polomare, Lord Tirek, the Dazzlings, Wind Rider, Spoiled Rich, Svengallop, Principal Cinch, and Zesty Gourmand would like to have a word with you.

That's an early draft when they were negotiating with Sony to develop the movie. It's intriguing how the setting will be sea pony based, but It would be a shame that story with Cosmos will go to scrap  . Hopefully they'll recycle it for later 

 

Considering one of Sony's criticisms of that draft was that it played out too much like an episode of the show--specifically, leaving past characters underdeveloped or plot points unexplained as if the whole audience is already familiar with them--this could be fairly likely. After all, the goal any movie adaptation should strive to achieve is to stand on its own even if viewers unfamiliar with what it's based on.

You may not consider them villains, but they were still antagonists; characters who set up a conflict in the story and actively stand in the main character's way of resolving it. And the antagonists I listed weren't forgiven for what they did (as of this posting, anyway), and they outweigh the antagonists that were. So the odds of the movie's villain being forgiven are not as favorable or certain as they seem.

.....I`m sorry but i think the chances for the `villain` or antagonist of the next movie is gonna be forgiven, only time will tell. anyway, wanted to let you know, no hard feelings anyway ^^ (thought the discussion caught a dark fibe) though, I will come back to this after the movie IF I remember this conversation

I actually don't want it to be an over-the-top cliché villain. Some great movies actually don't need an external villain force because I want it to be something different and special.

I'm sort of expecting an old villain like Nightmare Moon to show up, or at least an alicorn like her rather than monstrous being like Discord or Tirek.

You wanna know who the main villain of the movie should be? Princess Celestia, or more likely her true form, St. Koroleva! If that happens that would be awesome!

Honestly, given what we've already heard about it, the villain will likely be a sea-based thing. Which if they're still in the mode of bringing back old-generation things might mean an updated version of Squirk. Stupid name, yes, but the idea of a giant Kraken-like creature wanting to flood the world to take it over via yet another magical artifact (like the elements of harmony, the crystal heart, the alicorn amulet, etc.), but this one connected to the sea, has potential.

Or Tirek gets freed again and joins forces with Chrysalis and a reborn Sombra?
