What phases have you been through?

I sort of went through an emo phase, but I don't really consider it an emo phase because:

  • I never acted like a stereotypical Emo
  • It only lasted for a week or two

But I have been through three phases! One was a Vegan phase, which lasted for only about a month, and I went through the stereotypical SJW phase, which lasted for a couple of months. I also went through the 'I'm old enough to take care of myself!!' phase, which I experienced when I was 12 and 13  . Other than that, I never really went through any hard core phases :P

A phase I went through in middle school was a secluded introvert phase, didn't go outside unless I needed to and I didn't know what to do during that time. So, I made more friends and quickly moved on from that phase. :P

I've never really done phases. I've definitely changed over the years but "phases" imply they're immaterial and temporary. I've spent years doing the same things and I still do almost all of those same things today, just on varying levels.

I've always had a lazy/garage band style. Ripped jeans, band t shirts, long hair, converse, ect... My junior year in high school I went through a sort of clean cut phase. Nice shoes, button up shirts, non-ripped jeans, short combed hair, blazers... (when I think about it, don't know why I did that) But then I got really into punk culture and I've since gone back to my lazy/garage band style, with a little more punk thrown in too. I've had a few phases, but I always come back to the band t shirts and I imagine I always will.

But you never know...

I wouldn't consider anything childhood related as phases (it's pretty much one big phase). so I've really only been through one. I was in the immature annoying internet kid phase when I was 10-11. Right now I'm just a nerdy, introverted, socially awkward teen.

In year 2 and 3 (the first part of this year) of High School I went through my sort of "Gangsta" phase. This phase basicaly started when I started smoking cigarettes for  about two weeks before regretting my choice. I was wearing skate shirts and I kinda wear my jeans the way the "kool kids" did (fortunately, this jeans wearing trend stopped in Year. 3). I also had some sort of friends but that only seemed to care about stuff I would not care for. I was in two different groups of "friends" across this one and an half year and I felt some sort of acceptation within my second friend group, but progressively felt that they weren't the friends I needed for some major reasons. I eventually found true friends later that year that had the same interests just like me.

I also went through a phase were everything media related started to rise upon me (started at year 3), but it ended when I started college. Then there began my Brony/College student Phase that is still going on for me at the moment.

Another notable phases:

  • Before High School and starting as a new High School I went through my Rocky face (Liked a lot of rock bands, like AC/DC, Chevelle, Three Doors Down, Three Days Grace, etc...)
  • My Metalhead phase: Started exploring the Metal genre a lot, in beetween year 1 and 2 of High School, then started leaving all of these rock bands behind to discover some of my fav. artists (Worthy examples: Voivod, Slayer, Razor, Etc...). That phase was amplified when I got my hands on metal bands shirt,  Still generally in this phase right now would say.

The first phase I noticed was rebelling against my parents, which I still do today. It's a great feeling knowing that your parents can tell you what to do, but are unable to control you. My dad can tell me to pour milk but I can pur root beer just to piss him off, but I don't do that. I'm also in a phase where I crave sexual activity.

My most memorable phase was my creep phase. I would just act creepy, drawing weird, insane things in my books, playing around with scissors and giving people weird glares. Thank god I'm out of that now.

Sometime in middle school, I had a phase where I became extremely pretentious and judgemental. Pretty stereotypical "kid thinks he knows everything" kinda deal. Phase's lasted about ten years or so by now.

Im not sure, what all counts as a " Phase ".  :ooh:

So...someone told me in School, that i would be perfect as a Emo, since i pretty much looked sad or not interested in anything for a long time.

I also just stayed against Walls and didnt really move that  much during breaks.

I didnt really talked to anyone and i had a black jacket and had my hood on, almost all the time.

I was an outsider. Or whatever you call it in english.  :please:

But i wouldnt call myself an Emo...because i also didnt had any Emo Friends and i also really didnt wanted to color my hair black or wear more Emo specific clothes, since i didnt wanted to be like...interesting.

Im still pretty much silent, but when People ask me things, i answer now because i realized that i was pretty rude back then, when i just ignored everyone.

Other than that...oh yeah, i was a Youtube Troll for...half a year maybe?

Because im always extremely bored...but i stopped with that as well.

I also had a Phase in my childhood, where i was screaming a lot and recorded it as some kind of Play.

I also had a suicidal Phase, where i tried to kill myself, by drowning myself in the bathroom sink and one time, i was bashing my Head against a Wall for a few Minutes, in the Hope, that i would lose my Memory...or die.

But thankfully, thats all over now.

I never really went through a "phase", I was always too scared to express myself or explore different things.  I kinda(sort of) went through a goth phase, which to this day still clings to me.  So here I am, at 24 admiring Kat Von D makeup and craving the Death Hawk.  You know what?  Screw it.  Goth is my life, it slowly creeps into my soul.

I went through an emo phase during my freshman year of high school. I grew out of it pretty quick, but I still think that the whole emo/goth style is pretty cool.

The "omg, nobody understands me!!!111" emo kid phase I had was fun :P I miss MySpace.

I also kind of went through a naughty rebellion phase when I was about 15/16 where I was drinking alcohol/pretending I was sleeping over friend's houses when I was actually drunk camping with friends. I grew out of the drinking/partying phase quite quickly. It bored me after a bit.
