Anyone played this game? It's easily my favorite game right now. It is simply so fun to play and explore the landscape! In my opinion, it's balanced just right to make finding items not very frustrating, yet have the feeling of being so accomplished when you do. Although, I do think I may have bought a horror game in disguise.. because there are some really scary moments in the game..

 

It's developed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment, if that rings a bell to anyone. They've also made Natural Selection and Natural Selection 2 (haven't played those but they seem really good). Anyway, the game is out right now on Steam Early Access, and it's coming out on Xbox Early Access soon. Don't let early access discourage you, the game is very close to release (August/September 2016) and it is VERY well polished. It plays just fine on my GTX 750 Ti and FX-6300 PC.

This game makes me think of Elite Dangerous, but underwater. Heard a lot about it and I definitely want to give it a shot. Once it comes out for Xbox One I will give it a try for sure. Seems really relaxing.

It looks very neat, but I've just been watching Markiplier play it. But I'm scared of the ocean so I do not think I'll be playing it.

Haven't played it yet, but I've heard of it and seen some clips of it. It just doesn't look like the type of game I would enjoy that much.

Subnautica is a great game, I have toplay it again sometime in the future and I tell you it has made me nearly have a heart attack a couple of times since I have a fear of the monsters as well as the large ocean itself.

It was an amazing experience. Especially for someone with thalassophobia. Such a fun, and beautiful and terrifying game. I had never been so gripped to my seat while playing a video game. And it was precisely because of my phobia that it was so immersive and enjoyable. Also, I don't think I died once because I was so paranoid ALL the time. I've heard some horrible stories about certain enemies spawning all of the sudden...

I remember taking my cuddlefish out of the alien containment unit, and throwing it into a duffle bag with a bunch of acid mushrooms before hitting my "poseidon" escape rocket. Truly memorable.
