Are the Mane Six superpowered (by the Elements...?)

So, in A Canterlot Wedding, the Mane Six took on an entire horde of changelings (but for some reason weren't able to battle the ones waiting inside Canterlot tower), using mostly their bare hooves and magic, while even a pair of (supposedly well-trained) royal guards got captured by the changelings.

 

That was a surprisingly large number of changelings they beat out...I've been sorta speculating...even when they're not actually blasting Discord to stone with the elements or depowering Tirek with the Tree of Harmony's power, are the Mane Six maybe still passively superpowered by the Elements/their own friendship bond when they face threats?

Nah, not really. Your bog standard changeling is just weak as hell with the Royal guard being even WORSE.

D&D logic, the Guards are basically level 1 grunts and the changelings are lvl 2. Hell, even the comics aknowledge the Royal guard as being useless pansies

 

Look at the alternate timelines for example: Dash was beating the crap out of Sombra's soldiers left and right and she never was an element bearer there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now, the strange thing is that the Equestria girls seem to be slightly super human given how dash was able to pancake Giant plants in that movie, so they could always change things up (if they decided to be serious about GOH, might want to find a way to equalize things a bit somehow ala power ponies after all), but at the moment Its more just Protagonist plot armor.

They are supposed to be the mane characters, so they're supposed to handle everything they can, so yeah I suppose that they are.
