Famous Bronies/Show Staff?

I was just wondering if any of the famous bronies frequent this message board? Names like Living Tombstone, Prince Whateverer, Mandopony, AcousticBrony, etc. Do any of them actually participate in these discussions? I guess because of their notoriety they probably wouldn't go declaring themselves publicly, but does anyone know if any of them are actually here? That would be really cool.

 

For that matter, does anyone associated with the actual show ever come by? I remember when I used to frequent the Earth 2 Edd message board back in its EZ Board days, the creator of Ed, Edd n Eddy (Danny Antonucci) actually dropped in to chime in once or twice. He didn't make a habit of it, but it happened. Anything like that ever happen around here?

We have had several Community Q&As here, with one being with storyboard artist Ward Jenkins or @wardomatic.

 

Other than that, not many people on the show staff or famous Bronies frequent here. Unless there was some public announcement by the forum staff, I can't imagine anyone believing it would actually be them if they joined. People imitate celebrities online all the time.

Yeah, that makes sense. I guess that's one of the downsides of getting famous in a fandom. Right now, I can claim to be SawmillTurtle and no one would question that it is me, because most people don't care one way or the other. If, however, I were to hypothetically become famous for some song or story, it would be hard to simply use my own screen name without someone accusing me of being a poser or something.

 

Fame is bittersweet.

Like CB said we were visited by people involved in the comics and show during official events.

 

Purple Tinker has popped in using the Convention Forums for room shares before. Eliemonty has an account too since she was part of the now defunct Last Stand of Harmony, but it is basically unused.

I honestly wouldn't call any of those people "famous". They're fans who are made popular by other fans, but they are still just fans. I think the obsession with idol worship is a big problem in this community. I'm kind of thankful that "famous" bronies don't frequent here. It means less idol worship here and people freaking out over those users. I like how we have the atmosphere here that we do.

This! I mean, it is cool to like a horse famous content creator for sure ... but seeing how some take their fanning out to an unhealthy level ... I would be worried at how that would change the dynamic here. I actually feel the same about fame in general ... Idolizing isn't healthy.

 

Of course, I'm the guy who will likely go all stupid if I ever meet Tabby St. Germain so I may be a bit of a hypocrite.

We have a really good balance in the community here that I like. I wouldn't mind seeing 'Famous Bronies' enjoy themselves but I know a lot of people have problems keeping their cool.

I've actually met Living Tombstone via Facetime. See the dude was dating (IDK if he still is) a friend of mine and lived with another friend of mine. So when I called my friend on Facetime, dude was chilling there. He said who he was and I for the life of me could not figure it out. He says he's known as Living Tombstone and I had to look him up to figure out who the guy was.

 

After that, he chatted with me a bit. He's a pretty normal guy.

 

Like these fans are just normal people. They are not really even "celebrities". And most of them I am certain you won't hear about again after this fandom is over.
