Allow me to explain but before that I am sorry I am writing it here.

I was not sure if I should put it here or in the vendors/artists section so if anybody thinks this is a wrong place, please accept my apologies and move the topic if you wish.

 

Now let's get to it.

 

Those who know me, knows that I love doing art.

Those who don't know me, hello I'm Ruhisu and I love doing art

 

I hope now that what what I'm about to write won't sound too odd

 

I always enjoyed supporting great initiatives and been always dreaming about attending a big convention abroad, however traveling to USA or Canada from Poland is far too impossible for my wallet, I decided to support people as best as I can, that's why I want to offer my help to BABScon as one of the greatest conventions I know.

 

You may find it funny that suddenly some random guy offers his support but I just enjoy making people happy so... it's just me

 

So if someday you need some art stuff to be done, just let you know that I am always eager to draw anything for people (except NSFW stuff etc. but it's obvious XD).

 

To make my point valid somehow I would like to share some examples of my work with you.

I love drawing cities and skylines and I know how important it is to promote not only a particular initiative itself but the city/ town where it takes place as well so if you need some stuff connected with drawing a city or any architectural stuff, it's not a problem for me.

 

For instance right now I am working on a picture requested by Bronies Las Vegas. It is only a preview sketch of course for now but the overall picture will be very detailed and bright just like Las Vegas should be:

 

Here you can see how I tried to make a romantic Manehattan at night.

 

That's how I tried to promote my Indiegogo campaing to gather funds for visiting Everfree Northwest 2014. It's a bit old now but it shows that I can make technical stuff without any problems if you need some.

 

 

My current drawings are of course very improved in comparison to these 2014 and 2015 drawings. I am trying to improve all the time and make my style as flexible as possible allowing me to focus on many motives.

I was also supporting the first Polish local big ivitiative "Vistulian" in 2015 and right now I am supporting "Middle Equestrian Convention" which will be held in Warsaw this summer.

Once again I'd like to apologize if this offer sounds odd but I think that sometimes it's better to inform people about the fact that somebody's eager to support rather than wondering if such person is free to do so or would it be polite to ask for support etc. 

You don't have to agree of course and I will understand and accept it, I just want you to know that I am always ready and at your service and I would be delighted to support this great fandom as best as I can.

I'd highly recommend shooting an email over to volunteers@babscon.com and let them know you're interested in helping out with the art side of BABSCon 2017 so that the right person gets this information. ^^

They should be launching the staff applications soon as well, so maybe try that route if you haven't heard anything by then.

 

You in a position to vend there? I know that prints of your art would be in demand due to their high quality.

Not sure. Should a vendor be present on the convention?

Sadly going to USA is way out of reach for me. I tried setting an indiegogo campaign once to get funds for attending the EFNW. I wanted to cover the visa, air ticket, food and accomodation. I was hoping for a success but the campaign failed. I needed 3500$ in total but I managed to get only 1000$.

From that moment I forgot about this dream and didn't try setting another campaign since I doubt I would make it this time.
