If there is one thing that you don't want the movie to do, what is it?

Recommended Posts

One thing I don't want to see, but which I'm kinda suspecting will happen, is the movie being a completely independent piece, which will have no effect on the long running continuum.

I know the writers are in a bit of a bind with the movie, since there's always a chance that some viewers haven't seen the series, and later some viewers of the series haven't seen the movie, but if the movie is completely out of touch with the events of the series, then it just seems kinda pointless. Why have some grand epic adventure if it's afterwards all but forgotten?

But, like I said, I'm not holding my breath.

I think one of the more obvious things would be a sudden reformation of either the main villain or one of the minor villains without much effort. After what the show has done regarding Discord, Sunset, Diamond Tiara, Starlight, and Trixie, we could do with a villain being destroyed or follow Chrysalis' example and refuse to be reformed.

Leaving out, writing off, and otherwise killing off major/main characters, especially if it's for the sake of promoting toys. Because it worked out so well the last time Hasbro did that

Definitely took the words RIGHT out of my mouth.  If anything like that happened to the Mane 6/Celestia/Luna/Starlight/Discord/Spike/etc, there would be a major outcry from not just the Bronies, but also kids and concerned parents.  I hope Hasbro doesn't repeat the same mistake they made with the Transformers.

Well, at this point, MLP is a huge section of my life. Much like that Warcraft movie, regardless of where it goes with it, so long as its set in more or less cannon with the world I've come to love I will be happy with whatever direction the writers decide. Come whatever may, I'm going to be be in that theater when it hits. Suppose my biggest concern is finding somebody else to attend it with since I feel greatly worried about being a lone adult male in a showing of a kids movie...

I just prefer if it didn't have anything to do with the human world. I'm not too big a fan of people...

Well finally! Someone else who hates humanity as much as I do! Hah, that's sort of the reason I never bothered to watch any of the Equestria Girls stuff. If its an entirely different world, with entirely different characters, why should I, who has gotten used to the pony world, care about this world? Plus...those "human" models scare me...

I don't want the movie to eliminate characters, like I dunno Celestia is gone and Twilight's the ruler now.

Yeah. The day they kill off Celestia is the day I find me a clocktower and a high-powered sniper rifle....and load the gun with nacho-sauce bullets. My vengeance will be painted across the irremovable stains on innocent by-standing shirts!

But I kid, I have sort of resigned myself to them shoving Celly off to the sidelines. She'll likely never be as important as they initially painted her as.

So yeah, in short: just so long as they don't try another My Little Woodchuck or pull an Alicorns in Refrigerators, I'll be happy!

I just don't want the movie to feel too generic and almost as if no heart was put into it (this is one major issue that I have with the Equestria Girls movies). But, considering the fact that this upcoming movie is being written by someone who also wrote for Toy Story 2, I think the movie is in very good hands. I'm also hoping the movie is exciting and manages to be accessible to potential new fans while giving us long time fans a lot to enjoy.

And another vote for reforming the main villain! I wouldn't mind if they at least tried, but it'd be a nice change of phave if the villain wasn't having none of it, and the Mane6 resort to beating them down!
