cider float 2,538 May 21, 2016 Share May 21, 2016 (edited) If you ever notice, ugly characters are either foolish, bad apples or downright evil with no way to be reformed. Chrysalis, Tirek and Sombra would be considered a bit less on the cute and attractive side. Luna and Starlight Glimmer still retained the base mare pony body type so they were somewhat reformed, if they have a body more similar to the stock ponies they are somewhat more reformable apparently. There's also Snips and Snails that are shown to be downright hideous to the point that it's insulting and have no positive qualities as they usually work as henchmen or just being idiots. The only character that is on the ugly side that has had his moments was Discord probably because of how much popularity he garnered from the fanbase. Amber seems drawn somewhat more "proportionate" and in better symmetry than the other dragons that could basically say she's a more attractive dragon than the other ones and she is shown to be more smarter and capable than the others. I think the best word to use is "obtuse" characters are less likely to be put in a positive light. Characters that have physical traits so far from the cute stock pony body type and face.
