gaming Favorite "Bad Ending"? Favorite Alternate Ending?

Lots of games like to give us multiple endings, as it helps with replayability. Sometimes they're happier than the original endings, sometimes they can be complete downers. But some are more memorable than others.

One of my favorites was from Ace Attorney Justice For All

Where if you don't present the right combination for the evidence in the end, you prove a murderer innocent, ending with an innocent person getting convicted and Phoenix Wright disappearing. Overall it's really heartbreaking, hilarious typo not withstanding

Hell it's not just bad endings, just some alternate endings in general can be really entertaining. For how awful Star Fox Command's story was, Ending 9 is really fucking hilarious

Where Fox and Falco more or less become F-Zero pilots

What are some alternate endings that struck your fancy?

It's actually the good ending, but I do like what the victory text for Xenonauts (basically a remake of the original X-COM) implies:

The superpowers are after our alien-derived technology and the chief scientist (who has access to all of these weapons and world-destroying technology) thinks that he can do a better job of running the world with it. It still has the cheery line that 'the world will probably still be here in the morning' at the end though, complete with an 'enjoy evening' button to close the text and finish the game.

As for proper multiple-choice endings, Sunless Sea has quite a few interesting ones:

Destroying London to win the trust of a group of soul-thieving apes so that I can steal their airship and fly off into the uttermost East was quite something. Helping a probably mad merchant open a giant gate to the uttermost North and deciding to go through with him was also quite interesting, if inadvisable... actually, all of the sort-of-bad endings are usually interesting because you learn more of the lore of the world (and given that the premise is that London was stolen by bats and is now miles underground, the lore is nothing if not unpredictable, although strangely fascinating.) Then there's the conventional die at sea and retire in wealth / mediocrity endings.

Given that it's required to beat a game littered with bad and alternate endings, the best alternate ending in Zero Escape: Virtues's Last Reward is...

Luna's ending. It is the longest and hardest ending to complete, needing no less than four different character endings (maybe even more) to finally unlock and, if you went from left to right like I did, will take you pretty much the length of the whole game. But once you do... everything changes. Everything you thought you knew about the story suddenly gets uprooted, only to get further uprooted in the true ending. Listening to Luna's story, accompanied by the best music in the game, Blue Bird Lamentation, is nothing short of heart-wrenching.

The bad ending in MGS1. The good ending brings emotions of hope and happiness, but the bad ending brings more of the sad feelings. Even tough the only change between he good and bad ending is, if an important character in it survives or dies.
