Not expecting much from this ep tbh. Preview had some weird antics from AJ but otherwise there's not much here for me. I'm sick of Rarijack and I don't know what to expect from Twilight and Spike without it feeling forced

Well that was weird.

I can't say that I have a strong feeling one way or another towards this episode based on the preview, but I have been surprised before.

I would like it to be an enjoyable episode, but I am not expecting too much out of it.

I'm really hoping this episode focuses around Applejack and not Twi, Rara and Spike.  Hopefully she can hold the episode. Rarity or Applejack normally can't hold an episode by themselves.

Weirdest. preview. ever.

Showing the catalytic scene for AJ needing a break apparently ... and I'm assuming that the writers decided against showing her simply exhausted so it didn't feel like a retread of Applebuck Season.

Still, crazy is sometimes funny ... but these jokes kinda felt ... off.

Rarity and AJ pairings tend to be looked favorably by fans of both characters, though from the synopsis we may be splitting focus between Rarity/Applejack and Twilight/Spike. So this may be a four character episode with the set-up centered around AJ.

AJ's not horsing around when it comes to clucking out instructions.

Your puns are far better than the randomness here. :P

Something feels really weird here, and not for the right reasons. The jokes surrounding AJ feel really stilted are are like, "It's a joke. Laugh." Ain't laughin', sorry.

Unfortunately, if The Gift of Maud Pie is any indication, it appears that the Fox brothers' idea of "comedy" simply boils down to just a lot of zany randomness, regardless of whether it makes sense or not.

Unlike the previous episode, in which the comedy worked because the jokes had actual context, I suddenly wouldn't be surprised if we're given absolutely no context at all for Applejack acting this way. It's random, so it's funny, right?!

We don't fully know for sure why she acted this way, and the trailers don't always deliver accurate contexts, so we'll have to wait and see.

But if there is no context to her actions here, then what she did feels more confusing (and from how out of character she's acting, creepy) than funny.

i felt the same. its as if the writers are making AJ out-of-character

If AJ gives a reason that makes sense, then I can see why she acted this way. Granted, it won't make her animal sounds funny.

So far, though, I can't think of a valid-enough reason other than not being able to concentrate to the point of restlessness, and that's stretching it.

Ironically, Applejack being so emotionally and physically drained to the point where working on the farm worsens matters feels more plausible for a "day off" than what was shown here.

This is sure to be an amusing episode, since it's our wonderful, favorite country pony going about. I'll always love her, no matter what she's doing.

Since Rarity is in the background... Please let us have some Rarijack moments, PLEASE. I've had a rough week and would LOVE me some cuddly moments with my favorite ship. ALL HATERS BACK THE F*CK UP. Give me this, Hasbro.

Please don't let this be anything involving Twilight, she literally does not have to be everywhere at all times.

The preview was random, but the way AJ was acting was really funny. Before seeing the preview, I wasn't how to feel about the episode. However, after seeing the preview I'm looking forward to seeing how the episode will play out.

O_o

Okay, i think now is a time more then ever, to use this song.

I don't know what to think of this. I mean, previews have fooled us before. I wait and see.

Was this supposed to be funny? I feel like they were trying to make this funny. The problem is, these jokes arn't funny. This is just weird.

Weird and embarrassing...

Plus, what's wrong with AJ's limbs? The way they bend looks painful and weird, even for a cartoon character.

The preview just reminded me that this show is actually meant for preschoolers. Ouch.

I feel like we're watching a punch line without any straight lines, here.  This'd probably be funnier if it had some context.

But what grabs me is...at the end of this trailer, did she just grab some grass in her mouth?  Did she...graze?!

I mean, they imply the ponies graze every now and then (no entree at picnics, mentioning a "graze" in some commercials, etc.), but I never thought they'd actually show it on-screen---they wouldn't want impressionable 6-year-olds mimicking that behavior, would they?

It's hard to see without pausing the video at the right spot, but she grabs her lasso (or some other coil of rope) in her mouth.
