gaming Favourite music from the Pokémon series?

So, with Pokemon Sun & Moon heading towards us, I'm personally looking forward to another wonderful soundtrack from the games. I don't think there's ever been a Pokemon entry where I have felt dissatisfied with the musical score, Junichi Masuda does an amazing job and I have little reason to fear that won't be the case here.

 

So with that said, what are some of your favorite music tracks from the games? Doesn't necessarily have to be from the main series either, the spin-offs have their share of it too.

 

One I've been listening to recently is the Cipher Peon Battle from Colosseum. Might be a synthesizer, but I still love that guitar riff.

That's an interesting one. Iris' Champion theme stands out among the usual fare of Champion themes, which often make it out to be this big epic battle of the ages. The battle with Iris is more like a friendly exhibition between two young, albeit powerful, trainers. Just for fun.

There are too many wonderful pieces that I like and it's absolutely difficult to choose favorites!    At least the ones that appeared in my head are the themes for Jubilife City and Coumarine City.

I friggin love that track too. O_O That is such a great piece of music for this franchise.

I love Route 4 from Pokemon X/Y. It sounds way too much like a march I'd actually play in band. lol

 

 

The Kanto trainer battle theme is also great from HG/SS and G/S/C.

These three songs have one thing in common: They all have an 'adventure' feel to them. Whenever I reach these areas, I get to urge to keep playing because the music really immerses me to an adventure.

I absolutely love the music in every single generation of Pokémon, however I think gens four and five have the best (in my opinion). I particularly love the champion theme, the legendary trio theme, and Giratina's theme from Diamond and Pearl. All three are so dynamic, and literally send shivers down my spine when I listen. It takes me back to the time when I played my very first Pokémon game, Platinum.

The VS Suicune theme from HGSS also springs to mind, along with the Pokemon BW Elite Four, legendary trio, and emotion themes.

Other favourites of mine include: Zinnia's theme and Wally's theme from ORAS; the Fire Red/Leaf Green champion theme; and I Don't Want To Say Goodbye from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky/Darkness/Time. Countless other themes are amazing, but those are the ones that I particularly like.

NOOOOOOOOO nonono, why did you have to make this thread? Now I need to waste half a day going through every Pokémon game I've played selecting all of my favorite music to then make a list of songs which I can post here...

 

I mean I could just mention a couple of songs I love such as route 1 from rb or the synthia theme from dppl but where's the fun in that? I must list all songs I love..

I don't think so, at least not as far as I know... But when you mention it I'd like to take the opportunity to tell people about the theme for this horror film called The Burning, which is VERY similar to that song.. it's kind of weird.

Well, overall, my favorite Generation in terms of soundtrack would be the third, mainly because of the GCN Pokemon games, whose soundtrack was terrifyingly epic. Hard to pick just one, but I guess I'll leave this here

 

For some reason, it reminds me of Florida (where I plan to move out). Maybe it's because is where I found a Nintendo Power magazine which made me progress a spot where I was stuck (Lady Venus' shadow pokemon car key. How could I've missed that ?)

 

In terms of main games, I think this is the best battle theme. Doesn't feel like you're fighting a legendary pokemon, but a GOD

Wow, that sounds A LOT like the original from RSE. I haven't played any game after BW yet so I hadn't heard this remade version... The songs in the remade games are usually changed a bit but this one sounds almost exactly the same, only "softer" which I like! From all the Pokemon games, my favorite music would have to be bicycle themes. I would always purposely make my character ride the bike just to hear the music.
