Everybody say bronies are gay what do you think?

Do we really need to discuss this for the 100th time?

Β

People hate on the fandom. Don't know why, don't really care either. Let people hate all they want, its not going to stop me from watching the show.

Haha, no, just because you've got an interest for a certain cartoon doesn't mean your sexuality takes flight for the rainbows or anything. Your private parts and preferences has NOTHING to do with a great cartoon show you happen to enjoy. NO.

I'm quite gay myself, but that has NOTHING to do with the show, obviously. I'm a girl with a girlfriend, but that's all there is.

Β

Also, there is no such thing as "normal" people. Nobody is "normal" because it doesn't exist. Neither does "perfect".

You might refer to "normal" people as the majority of how they act, what they like and how they dress and that most people are like that, etc. However, that's not "normal" to me, that's just BORING. Boo!Β  :yay:

I've met quite a lot of totally straight bronies. Watching a kid's show has nothing to do with what orientation you are.

Β

I feel as if people who hate on the people who watch it are usually just scared to like it themselves. They think that if they dare to give it a chance, they'll seem uncool and shit to everyone. Quite pathetic really.

Β

Then you find the peeps who just don't like the show, but don't hate on the fans. I respect them a lot more tbh.

You know what I say? Let them say that. If you are not gay, then whatever, it doesn't effect you at all. If one is LGBT like me, then take that 'insult' and turn it into pride. Like yeah, I AM gay/bisexual/whathaveyou, thank you for noticing. ^___^ All they have are petty insults, so don't let them get to you.

Eh, I see little substance to such childish attempts at insults.Β  I mean, as far as my own experiences go the brony community has always been an excepting place, especially as far sexuality and gender identity go.Β  From there maybe you could generalise us as statistically more gay then other groups but the framing of 'gay' as an insult is just weird to me, it doesn't even register to me, like some kid in the park calling you poo poo head.Β

From my own personal experience, Bronies (And Furries) are all over the spectrum, ranging from completely straight to completely asexual and everything in between. But honestly, why are people getting so bent out of shape about what gender other people are interested in? It's really got nothing to do with them, it's a personal thing and I feel that people who get all up in arms about sexual orientation and even their gender identity, need to get a life, as it does not effect them in any way what so ever.Β

Β

It would be a whole lot better if people just kept their noses (And ultimately their religions, as that is what it all comes down to) out of other people's business and personal lives.

I happen to be bi, but I recall being so far before I came across MLP

Edit:Β  Quote included, because yes.

Its just aΒ very original insult that people use. Though I'm Bi, I get called "gay" on a daily basis just for doing things like killing someone in a FPS game. Its mainly used by immature teenagers or man-children. Don't take any notice, all they want is to piss you off and by getting annoyed you're letting them win.

I'm not a brony, but I genuinely don't care what people say. Gay is only insulting if you fear being gay or hate gay people.

Really, though, I don't get the whole "liking something that isn't all tough and manly make you gay!" thing.

What's more manly than watching a group of men chase each other around a grassy field and then have a bit of a kiss and a hug when one of them puts the piece of leather into the net

Β

Or watching two oiled men grapple and grope trying to pin the other one to the floor as the pinned one bucks and twists

Β

...yeah :)

Β

(The more "manly" the sport, the more touching other men that's involved? :derp: )

Β

If you like ponies, you like ponies, so what?

Β

If you're a boy and you like boys, you like boys, so what?

Β

We all like all sorts of different things.

The only people who say bronies are gay are idiots and trolls. It's an easily disproven fact and never said by anyone with a lick of sense in them.

Β

It should never be taken seriously and you would do well to ignore or avoid anyone who believes it to be true.

Chill dude, that's just an empty insult to us bronies. Besides, what that has to do with your sexual orientation? We got straight, gays, bi, asexuals, etc etc etc

People will say certain things to a group of people they dislike, it's normal. Bronies being gay, straight, bi or whatever orientation doesn't make it any different then what's in the real world. Generally, such insults are something to forget about and not to get all worked up about it.

"everybody" equals the people that can't accept something different I guess? "everybody" doesn't like something which results the conclusion that the certain thing is bad or smth ... legit ...

How do they know you're bisexual on a FPS game? They say gay all the time in FPS games, it's like a tradition there.

In my opinion it should not even matter what your sexuality is my little pony is not based on sexuality its based off a show from all 4 generations for people to love and if people can't learn to accept that both genders love my little pony then that is their issue and they need to get over themselves as long as the fans are not hurting anything then why should it matter they should stay out of peoples business, but this is humans we're talking about and they just can't keep their noses out of peoples business, but I would not let people like that bring you down keep standing strong.
