Haha. Before I start I'd like to say that I myself am a girl.

I HATE having long hair. It's hard to style, it's hot, it's annoying, it hurts to brush, it takes forever to wash and dry, and on top of that I think it's just really basic looking on me.

The hair I'm comfortable having is just above or at chin length that gradually gets shorter (angled) in the back. Not only do I think it looks better, but it causes absolutely no problems, so it's a win win for me.

I also dye my hair.

Of course, I don't hate all long hair, if it works for you then go for it! However, I DO feel like long hair is a "trend" if you will, most girls I see these days have the exact same from the chest-down, light brown or bleached blonde hair. I think it's because having that type of hair is "popular" so everyone is doing it. This bothers me because I feel like not a lot of people are being true and unique to themselves and are instead trying to be like everyone else. But if that makes them happy I guess that's all that matters.

For me however, it does tend to get hot at times in mild climates. Especially in the summer and wow do I freaking despise the heat. So its a no, depending on the conditions.

I. WANT. BUTT. LENGTH. HAIR.

Does ANYONE have tips on how to keep it healthy and get it that long??? It's midback at the moment and I've always dreamed of it being that long!!

Gotta be annoying to always get caught when setting on it and always getting in the way. Just having it mid back for me made it always get in my mouth and food.

I've been going back and forth between short and long, I'm a lady. I prefer short hair because of the easy ways to take care of it and keep it looking nice. Also, it's not in the way and doesn't get so hot in the summer. Also, I felt more handsome with short hair.

With long hair, it's nice because I can rock more hairstyles, I feel more feminine and pretty...  I guess. Otherwise, it's just messy, hard to take care of and basically, hairs go everywhere. It's annoying.

I love having longer hair. Of course I do not have the kind of long hair which extends very far, but I love having hair that manages to cover my eyes and I can swing it a bit :P <3

i want to knit a underwear with my hair...well, not literally, but long enough that i can choose to do so :P

b-vitamins (b5 i think it was), don't clean it too often, use conditioner, avoid using hair ties as much as possible.

i've heard trimming it for some magic reason helps too, proteins, avoid beer (ironically since beer contains b-vits).

that's all i can think of right now.

I've been growing my hair for 4 and a half years now, and it's butt-length. I don't ever want to cut it!

same here, except that butt length...or almost, if i keep it straight and lift the head a little it can reach it, almost.

I used to keep my hair (both head and facial) long as hell... when I went into industrial I had to cut it though to keep my job. After I left industrial I decided to grow it back out, an accident or two later and it went back to short and is currently where i am keeping it at the moment. With the humidity and heat here I normally just prefer to keep it short or shave it completely these days.

I personally throughout my life I've had short hair and long hair. I  get more compliments now that I have long hair. This could be due to two reasons; if you don't have naturally thick hair, long hair makes up for that lack. Long hair can be styled in many ways too which gives the wearer a potential great ideas  many times over.

Also, I've always heard that men want to run or thread their fingers through hair as a gesture of affection (I'm relying on romance novels, being Single myself smile.gif , so long hair probably fulfills that romantic notion. Long hair also smells nicer from further away, which could be attractive to some men. I am taking wild guesses here

My hair is a bit longer for a male, it reaches down to the top of my shoulders.

I do love me some long hair! But I'm well aware that I'm veeery bad at managing it, so I rarely, if ever let it go beyond my shoulders. I t does feel nice, but spending the extra time I spend managing it is not worth it in the long term.
