Are you a risk taker?

The title probably says it all, but here's one for you anyway;

Do you see yourself as a betting person? Do you feel as if you take risks? Maybe taking too little / too much? Do you do things without having assured a guaranteed end result?

I see myself as a gambler sometimes. I feel like half of the wiser decisions I've made were not calculated and made on a whim. Of course, almost all of my poor decisions were done through risk taking and zero consideration lol.

So what about you?

I'm not much of a risk taker. Not much at all. Which is something I feel I should be working on.

I tend to overthink things and usually decide to not do whatever I was thinking of doing.

If I were to be betting anything, it would only be something that I afford losing.

Well, thats just me, I guess.

Man that's a really solid question. I am however I take very calculated risks rather than flying off into something. The ideas that "risk comes with reward" and "nothing ventured, nothing gained" come back to bite you when life whacks you in the head with "I lost all my money betting on the ponies." I've taken lots of gambles in life; some paid off and other's...well let's say they ended really, really badly.

This coming from a dude who just got back from Vegas a bit ago and hates gambling with a passion. :)

Oh yes, I am quite a big risk taker. I don't put myself in danger for the hell of it, but I put myself in danger because if I don't I won't get what I need to happen. When I do take a risk when I have no choice, I enjoy that rush of adrenaline. It's thrilling.

With regards to money and gambling, I'm not a risk taker. I like my money being safe or at least safe with a certain degree of risk to allow for growth. I'm certainly not a gambling man though at all. There's a reason the casino's and lottery's are such huge businesses, that money has to come from somewhere.

When I am out betting on horses on the race track, then hell yeah! Give some, take some, lose some.

Kinda. I like to dive into things without knowing (rarely actually dangerous :P) and tend to depend on chance too much at times. Something to work on, I suppose.

I'm definitely a risk-taker. Sometimes that's the best way to get results. It may not always work out, but it's often better than wondering what would have been if I hadn't. I'd rather try something risky and fail than never try at all. I couldn't live any other way.

What I lack in bravery of pressing my luck, I make up for in patience.

Whatever I have to gain, I will gain it slowly and steadily, eventually, I'll catch up to where a more fast-paced, but reckless plan would get me to, but the difference is I won't be risking losing it.

I'd like to think of myself more as a logical risk taker. I can do somewhat dangerous things so long as the odds are in my favor but I'd never devote my time and money into things I consider unworthy of the risk.

For instance, I'm more than willing to go sky diving or rafting, it sounds dangerous, but it's actually safer than most people think. However, I'd never risk money in High stakes gambling nor would I risk my life in stupid actions.

I'm not much of a risk taker in real life. Of course I love things like rafting that really get the adrenaline flowing (even though someone I knew died a horrible death while rafting...), but in average everyday situations I tend to refrain from taking risks.
