FinalGamer 192 March 17, 2012 Share March 17, 2012 Fluent: English Broken: Spanish (Simple sentences, slow reaction time.) ASL (lolhandz) Me too on Spanish and Sign Language, though I use British/BSL which is similar but we use both hands more. Fluent in English, know a smidgeon of Spanish, somewhat good at French. My bad hearing's pretty much made learning languages a chore so I tend not to really get too into it.

American is a dialect of English, but not a different language I speak English, Mandarin, some French, and tidbits of German, Japanese, and Russian, but nowhere close to fluent for the latter 3. Not planning to work on any languages atm, but I could probably brush up on all of the ones listed above. 1 Warning: Signature may cause seizures, owner will sue you if you complain Nothing happens, yet everything changes. Demi 545 April 17, 2012 Share April 17, 2012 I used to wish I could learn to read Japanese just so I could play games early. Now I wish I had a British/Australian accent and knew all their fancy lingo. That'd be like speaking a new language all on its own.
Marshmallow 1,137 April 17, 2012 Share April 17, 2012 I speak French and English. I also took 4 semesters of Spanish and 2 of German. And apparently, I have to take Italian next semester :3 "There was me, that is Pinkie, and my three droogs, that is Rarity, Rainbow, and Fluttershy, and we sat in the Ponyville Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening." Emerald Flame 381 April 17, 2012 Share April 17, 2012 I took three years of German in High School. I don't speak it very well, but I really want to improve. I'd also like to learn Italian and Japanese.
Cloud-Kicker 103 April 18, 2012 Share April 18, 2012 I can speak very basic Greek. My friends Father is actually from Greece and he taught me some of the basics of the language. I could probably survive with what little knowledge I have of the language but I'd definitely need some help from someone who speaks it a bit more fluently. I'd love to learn Japanese. I know that's a common one but I don't care it's awesome! I was supposed to learn French when I was really young but I practically refused to do it. For some strange reason I just can't bring myself to enjoy the language, but that's probably because it seems so common where I'm from.
M14Brony 92 April 18, 2012 Share April 18, 2012 Sadly, I am not fluent in any foreign languages, given that not much is done to teach them over here in the USA. I studied German in high school for three years, but they do not teach much in US high school language courses, so know very little German. I also took a year of Spanish in high school, but I know virtually nothing when it comes to this language. I do wish to become fluent in multiple languages, but I need to find some time to study them. For starters, I want to learn German, French, Spanish, Arabic, and Russian. I would also like to learn Latin, as in spite of it being a dead language, academic works are peppered with Latin terminology and many multiple languages have their origins in Latin. De omnibus dubitandum.

Zachzab 14 September 16, 2012 Share September 16, 2012 I spent about a year and a half learning Japanese, so I can understand about 75% of the stuff I hear, but I can't have a conversation. I know a lot of words and could probably teach somebody what I know if they asked. There's a lot of other languages I want to learn, like Hebrew, Russian, Italian, French [France, not Canadian], and Polish. Why? Because nobody would know what I'm saying where I live. When nothing's going right for you, why don't you try going left? http://mlpforums.com/topic/33139-planning-a-mlp-game-based-on-assassins-creed-need-help/

Killian Jones 2,655 September 16, 2012 Share September 16, 2012 (edited) I know a foreign language, namely English, like many other I am not from a natively English country. So I had to learn it all on my own. Also apparently I know French, but I just can't French you guys, I just can't. I'd love to learn Swedish, it sounds pretty cool, it's like the cool version of the Germanic languages. There needs to be no other reason. I kind of know the lyrics to Caramelldansen, by ear. But ehhhhh, Same goes with a bunch of the words for the Dragonborn song in dragon tongue, so my prowess are just merely of duplication of sound. Crutch 898 September 16, 2012 Share September 16, 2012 I spent the last two years in high school taking Spanish. I actually learned a lot during the first year, but not so much the second. So I have basically forgot everything I learned already. I did get a A in the class both years though. http://www.youtube.com/user/coastercrutchfield
Ylaena 21 September 17, 2012 Share September 17, 2012 I speak fluent English and sarcasm. I know a little Spanish, but just basic stuff. I started to learn a little Hmong, but I don't really know anyone to practice with anymore. I took Spanish and French in school, but I could never focus. (Also, I was "bad" and ditched a lot to get away from it all. I did manage to ace every test I took, and would have done better overall if I actually did my homework.) I would love to learn German or French and someday meet my grandfather and be able to communicate with him. Japanese would be cool, too.
