Kronos the Revenant

Foray lowered her ears, clearly nervous as Kronos began to warm her, but slowly stopped shivering and eventually hugged him back.

Weird... is he making a move on me, or is he just trying to be nice? After a quiet sigh, she thought, Well... still better than freezing by myself, I suppose.

"It's... alright, I guess," she replied, voice quivering.

She couldn't remember the last time she'd been snuggled, or even hugged, by anyone other than her mother. A few hazy, century-old memories began to stir, and she laid her head gently against Kronos as she thought, staring quietly out into the rain.

Kronos felt his energy to stay up slowly draining while his heated engines purred. He started finding it difficult to stay up until eventually his eyes felt heavy and he started to enter into his sleep mode, his body still warm for Foray. After what felt like hours for him, Kronos fell asleep with a clear mind, knowing that his companion was warm against the night rain.

Foray sat still, not making a move while her much larger companion slept. Though she felt awkward and unnatural, she was warming quite nicely next to Kronos' running engines. She wondered what kind of fuel he ran on, if he'd be able to refill it anytime soon, whether he could run without fuel or not, and other mechanical questions.

He'd probably like the Silvers... if he's sweet towards them, they might outfit him with some new parts. He is kinda rusty...

She turned her gaze across the lake towards the campfires and sighed longingly. Though she was definitely more comfortable right now than she would be walking around the lake in the rain, she couldn't help but feel drawn to them. Campfires had a way of stimulating her mind, awakening her imagination and helping her to relive memories. That and the warm flicker of a fire would do her some good against the rain, which only grew worse as the night continued.

Ugh, Foray, you have to get some sleep... she told herself, leaning her head onto Kronos' shoulder and trying to clear her mind.

(Timeskip to early morning)

"No, no, stop," someone yelped in terror as the figure advanced further towards her, "For Celestia's sake, STOP!!!!" Moments later, an ear-shattering scream enveloped the atmosphere. Then, Kronos woke up, hyperventilating and checking his surroundings to see what was reality and what wasn't. He took a moment to readjust his vision. He shook his head, fatigued from his unusually active sleep.

For Xerox's sake, dude, he thought to himself, Pull yourself together. Foray told you that you're both so close to where you guys are going.

Speak for yourself, another voice answered him.

"Huh?" Kronos asked himself bewilderingly.

Forgot about us already, huh?, the voices continued, Only 200 years and you've never bothered to call us out.

"Oh, dammit," Kronos said to himself, "What do you guys want now?"

Suddenly, Kronos began to change, slightly in appearance but more apparently in his tone and demeanor.

His first change was forceful and ruthless, telling him, "You can't escape your past, Kronos. You know what you did all those years ago."

His second change more sensitive and compassionate, replying, "Cut it out. Can't you see that he's in distress? Don't worry, young Rokian. You know that Krux was to blame for that incident with them. Don't beat yourself up too much."

His third change was almost as compassionate as the second voice, but with a little more of a sultry tone, telling him, "Well, at least he got a little action off of the last bunch." This version of him ended with a giggle that you'd typically hear from a young female.

His last change was very aggressive, saying "They were weak!! Unworthy of traveling with the likes of us any further than they have!!! They've already made their decisions that led to their demise. Why bother still mourning over them!?"

The second voice interjected, "Krux, enough. Clearly you don't feel any compassion whatsoever."

"No shit, captain obvious."

"Krux, enough." the first voice retorted.

"Thanks, Apocalypse."

"Hey, we were allies, Gabriel. We've got each other's backs."

"Ohh, kinky."

"SHUT UP, ALEJANDRO!!!!!"

Kronos began to shake his head again and began slamming it to the tree until he regained control over himself. When he finally came to and realized that his personalities have emerged once again, he said to himself "Oh crap......how am I gonna explain this to Foray?"
