Everyone has at least ONE quote or bit of advice that they hold onto throughout their lives. Something that they think of, something that they live by or maybe even spread it to others. What do you live by?

I have two.

"Never pass up a chance to use the bathroom." - My dad

"The best skill you can ever learn is how to bullshit someone." - My 6th grade english teacher.

"Cross that bridge when you come to it" and "When happiness comes to visit, be sure to offer it a comfortable chair."

The first one helps me to avoid overthinking things and obsessing over them needlessly, and the other just sounds comforting.  :twi:

Also, a Personal Motto from Storm Cake, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" has given me a lot of peace.

"Like everyone else, you want to learn the way to win, but never to accept a way to loose. To accept defeat, to learn to die is to be liberated from it, so when tomorrow comes, you must free your ambitious mind and learn the art of dying." Bruce Lee.

"You are fighter pilots first, last, always. If I ever hear of any of you shooting at someone in a parachute, I'll shoot you myself" - Gustav Rödel

"It's not what you see outside of you, it's what others see in you. That makes the difference" - A best friend
 and
"Anybody, who's anybody, is everybody, except you. you're a somebody" I'm not sure who said it, but the point is everyones identity is their own, make your own as well.

"A little nonsense, now and then, is cherished by the wisest men." - Gene Wilder, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

My dear, here we must run as fast as we can, just to stay in place. And if you wish to go anywhere you must run twice as fast as that.

My mother told me this a few months ago. it was confusing, but it made sense after she explained it, so think about it for a moment:

"Be selfish. Do things for yourself because we're [your parents] are not going to be there for you forever, so you have to learn to be selfish and look after yourself."

I know, it took a while for me to translate that in the right way, also.

This has to be my favorite quote from George S. Patton in World War 2, "Though I may walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for I am the meanest mother***** in the valley."

I'm not a fan of serious quotes. I do, however like funny ones, and I've recently taken to writing down the strangest things me and my friends have said, so here's some of the best and most WTF quotes (especially the last one):

"Super immersive toilet paper gets you really wet" - Friend A, 12th June 2015

"Do they accelerate that?" - Friend S, 29th June 2016

"Pact the bing, yarn." - Friend C, Unknown (we have no idea what this means, including Friend C)

"I've kinda Pavlov's dogs'd myself to my right hand." - Myself, 25 August 2016

"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." -- Dr. Seuss

"You're only given one little spark of madness; you mustn't lose it." -- Robin Williams.

"Never forget the things that really make you happy." -- Meowth, Pokemon.

"Some things you see with your eyes. Others, you see with your heart." -- Littlefoot's Mother, Land Before Time.

Those are a few of my all time favorites. :D
