Visiting my Grandma's farm. She was out for a bunch of errands and I was alone and pretty bored, surfing the internet and oddly enough kept coming across a bunch of people with pony avatars, people kept talking about the show too, so I decided to check it out.

Don't remember exactly how much I watched, but I know I got through at least the first 5 or 6 episodes on Youtube while she was gone, and then watched more the first chance I got later. Fell in love nearly instantly.

I was downstairs watching Friendship Is Magic Parts 1 and 2 on Youtube.

It was during February 2012 where I binge watched the series.

That would be a rather boring, in my bedroom, on my bed with my laptop in my case.

The site however was a somewhat dodgy pirate site with half the episodes missing.  Later I found them all in much higher quality on youtube.  Was surprised they hadn't been copyright struck sooner.

Interesting, I actually started with EQG then later found interest in watching Fim. I watched the first episode with my sisters in the living room and found it better than EQG.

I was taking a break at work. Back then, I was grounds crew for these guys playing soccer at night. Pretty boring other than yelling at guys to get out of the emergency parking zone or fetching soccer balls from the swimming pool adjacent to the field. I was pretty much paid to sit there in case trouble ever happened, which was pretty rare.

But yeah, I was bored one day. It was mid way through my shift, no emergencies and children rarely kicked the ball over the fence. So I sat in the shack and watched the first two episodes eating dinner.

Early 2011. At the insistence of my future brother-in-law I pulled it up at home. I was on my laptop watching the pilot via YouTube with my 9 and 10 year old kids sitting on opposite sides.

Those who know me know the rest of this story.

Hello!

I do remember and all I can is that I was heavily surprised. I really didn't expect the show to be that enjoyable for me. Let's just say that I was struck with a pleasant surprise at the time.

I was in Arizona with my cousins, and my cousins decided to turn on MLP. Since I had nothing to destract myself with, I had no choice but to have my eyes on the screen. Anything as small as having my DSi in my pocket would've stopped me from changing my life positively.

Was just randomly zapping through TV, found a synopsis for the show and gave it a try. The episode in question was "The Ticket Master". After a while, i found myself browsing for fan art, reading fanfics and choosing a favorite pony. Funny how things work...

I was revising (I.e. Procrastinating), and was browsing 'know your meme' (don't judge XD). This was just after s1 had finished and it was trending as number 1 on that site, and curiosity got the better of me. I think there was a link to the pilot episodes on YouTube on the KYM page about it, and seeing as how I was revising, I decided to watch it :D

I started watched my first episode (Lesson Zero) over the shoulder of my roommate, who had it on TV when I was getting ready for work. I sat down to watch the rest of it with her and was nearly late getting out the door. My roomy created a monster and I've been hooked ever since!  :rarity:

I didn't see any of the earlier generations until later though. But I like those too!  :twi:
