Season 6 restart promo on Discovery Family

Since neither Discovery Family nor Hasbro is putting up the new ad on their respective video sites, I recorded it an uploaded it myself.

 

Many apologies for the poor quality; I don't have any choice but to shoot off the TV screen. =/

 

Hopefully when everyone gets back to work on Monday they'll post the digital versions, but for now here's something to tide you over!

July 30th? That is a tad sooner than I expected.

 

Lottsa stuff in that single promo though. Spike becoming friends with a changeling? That is f***ing AWESOME! *ahem* Pretty cool idea there. Looking forward to that. Then there was some clips of the Dungeons and Discord episode, looking ofrward to that as well. Then I think I saw kart racing Rainbow Dash with Scoots? What? XD That could be a lot of fun. "Welcome to Rainbow Kart!" And another Daring Do episode, with what looked like her brother or something. That stallion looked very similar to Daring Do.

 

The second half of this season looks like it is going to be jam-packed with variety. This is really getting me on the hype train for sure. There also no showing of anything for the finale here which is both good and understandable.

 

Thank you for recording this. My excitement for the rest of the season has risen drastically. ^-^

You're quite welcome. I'm really excited about the second half of the season, too. That Daring Do lookalike stallion is Quibble Pants, the pony who supposedly hates the Daring Do books but shows up to her convention anyway.

 

The episode with Spike befriending a changeling has the potential to be this season's "Amending Fences", with some significant ramifications for the lore of the world going forward. I can't wait!

Agreed . I'm trying to figure out which episodes those scenes of the mane 6 all dressed up and the one of RD, AJ, and Rarity relaxing and sunning themselves on the lounge chairs might be from.

Gonna guess the one with the mane 6 dressed up was for Dungeons and Discord(them going on an adventure in the beginning), the second one with AJ, RD, and Rares sunbathing is probably the Cart Before the Ponies

All of these seem interesting. 

 

Then again, based on the premises they only episodes I'm not too excited about are Stranger than Fanficton (this plot could easily fail) and 28 Pranks Later (For looking like a very similar plot to Mare Do Well).

This season, IMHO, is the worst to me because the first half is bleh,at best. Now with a Mare Do Well copy ,"Stranger than Fiction" summary having me worried , and with the dumbest villain in the show returning, I have to say count me out.

I've seen the promo myself, and Cadance and Shining Armor don't seem too keen on learning that Spike has befriended a Changeling that probably has split ties with Chrysalis and the Swarm. After the hell that Chrysalis put them through in A Canterlot Wedding, it would make sense that the Captain of the Royal Guard and the Princess of Love would be on high alert for Chrysalis coming back to seek revenge on them for her previous defeat.

 

Still, if Spike can convince them that the Changeling he befriended is the real deal and he's split ties with the Changeling Queen and her Swarm, I'll accept it if they agree to give the Changeling asylum in the Crystal Empire and he provides them with the intelligence of Chrysalis' revenge plot so they can prepare for all-out war with the Swarm in the finale.

Well this block of episodes sure looks like it will be an interesting ride. I love that DnD looking episode. It looks like Big Mac is dressed as the Dragonborn from Skyrim.

Its bout time we have more on the changlings or showing there might be more than one hive,  which might open up the world a bit more for story telling!   Also the DnD ep reminds me of my nerd days and its Discorded themed!

A changeling?! My prayers have been answered! I'm so curious about it with Changeling and Spike in the future. And also can't wait for the Cheerilee episode as well! And Daring Do, welcome back!

This could very well be Spike's season just like season 4 belonged to the CMC; though we only have one Spike-centric episode so far (Dragon Quest) it was a DAMN GOOD ONE, so there is hope.

This promo looks sweet! I really need to catch up, and I shall be looking forward to this. I think the clip of Spike claiming that a changeling is his friend shall be interesting, so I'm already excited for that! An episode where Spike will likely get some good limelight and a changeling return? Count me in! And I can't forget... Daring Do hype! Honestly, looks great.

Dragon Quest was a season 2 episode.

The Spike episode we got this season was called Gauntlet of Fire.

But I have to agree with you that this season might be Spike's absolute best to date.

As a fan of him, I am happy to see him finally be treated pretty well in the series.
