I want to make a remix of a MLP song, but I have no idea what program to use to make it, can anyone help?

I think Audacity is a good audio editing program and maybe even Sony Vegas Pro?

I don't really edit just audio, but Vegas Pro is awesome for editing footage

Get yourself a good working DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). If you have an instrument like a keyboard workstation or a digital piano, that's a start. You can always get a demo of DAWs such as FL Studio, Cubase, Ableton or others. FL Studio is the way to go if you want to aim for electronic stuff. For orchestrals, rock, metal or any other genre, you can use a notation software with virtual instruments to start with. MIDI is a cheaper way to go, but if you're looking for higher quality productions, MIDI would put a huge damper on that.

There are a lot of free programs out there that you can use to create remixes.

A good type of program to use (...maybe? IDK) is a DAW. It is used by audio editors to take recordings and put them together, polish them, and all that shtuffz along with a few neat tools to make music (virtual instruments, for example), to create a song to push out to the mass audience of twelve-year-olds who ask their moms to buy them Spotify Premium so they can listen to Drake all day every day.

An example of a free one is Pro Tools First by Avid. It's completely free, comes with cool features (including a virtual instrument that can do a bunch of cool stuff), and, well, it's free, so you're legally obligated to try it out.
