So, there's that new game called Pokemon Go out. you go around, catch Pokemon and stuff. Someone made a thread actually.

https://mlpforums.com/topic/154126-pokémon-go-is-finally-out/

But has anyone heard of Ingress? It was developed by the same company quite a few years ago, and is still really popular, but people seem to think Pokemon Go is a brand new thing when in fact it pretty much uses the same database as Ingress. In terms of the basic mechanics, they are the same game.

So my question is, do you play Pokemon Go or Ingress? And if so, were you aware the other existed?

A friend told me about Ingress earlier this year. I even looked it up and read a bit on the lore and gameplay and found it interesting, but, since it requires mobile Internet connection, I decided against playing it. I need my tiny amount of free data transfer for other things, like browsing these forums when I'm out of home.

For once Ingress shouldn't get you arrested for tresspassing, since sites are placed near publicly avaliable landmarks...
