IC Thread

 

The Shining Star Festival is a popular event that takes place annually, at a different town each time. Performers of all kinds gather together to entertain the huge masses who come to the festival all week long. One can find musicians, actors, comedians, magicians, escape artists, storytellers, dancers and a lot more here. The festival welcomes both beginner and popular performers, no matter their age or race. Shows are on from early in the morning to late into the night.

In the year of this role play, the festival takes place in Manehattan, and is estimated to be greater than ever!

Your character can be either a performer or a visitor, maybe an organizer or staff member of the event if you ask me first.

If you apply with your character, please state their name, what category (performer, visitor, staff/organizer) you want them to be in and give a link to their page in the character database. I would like to ask you to put your character in the performer category if they are any kind of entertainer.

  1. Sorry, but no alicorn OCs.
  2. Non-pony OCs are allowed
  3. No godmodding
  4. No OP OCs allowed
  5. Maximum two characters per RPer

What is this? A roleplay that does not have combat in any shape or form? From the depths of the Everfree even! I want in.

Used Equestrian Empire character because that seemed suitable for this specific roleplay. If I could, I would like to be one of the staff that organises the event but if that isn't possible, then a visitor is good as well.

I have two links to him in the sig below, but in the EVE version, I would like to be a performer.  If not possible, then I'll use the EQE version as a visitor.

Well, there are ways for people to somehow work combat into their performances, so that may be brave statement. :D

 

Your character is accepted, but I would prefer her to be a visitor. Organizers are not really the type of staff to interact too much with visitors (based on my past experiences), so I would only like to accept this kind of staff when there are a few more performers for an organizer to interact with. I hope that's okay with you.

If you really would like to make her an organizer we could wait until there are more (maybe two or three, which does have a chance to happen soon), and add her as an organizer then. I'll wait with adding her to the list until your reply.

Based on his page, I don't really understand what kind of performer he would be. Can you please specify what kind of show does he plan to do?

Well, I plan on letting Copper perform some of his magic tricks he learned from princess Celestia.

I think I would prefer you to use Copper's EQE version after all. While I know this is the EVE section, I don't want to push the borders of the universe too far out, so I don't want to allow non-unicorn characters to use real magic. I hope you understand. :kindness:

Could I join with Cyan Flare as a nervous and shy but smart and happy performer, and her brother Golden Spell as her confident but cowardly assistant? She'll be working with wild animals, and getting them to do awesome tricks and such. :squee: And Golden will be helping with moral support and making sure everything goes well on stage. :)

Defoe I contribute, I have to know which kind of characters are legal. So can anthro non-pony OC's be allowed?  

Sorry, I don't want to stray too far from show canon, so I can't allow anthro OCs. :rarity:
