Hiya!

 

I want to become a part of staff and become a part of helping what is becoming one of my most favorite sites ever!

 

I clicked the thingy under the report button and filled out the thing but I haven't gotten any response back. D:

 

Who wouldn't want me to help them?

I'll be blunt:

 

Asking like this is probably not helping your chances. The staff review the candidates and decide when they need new people. This kind of thing usually comes off as a begging and is frowned upon. Also truthfully... You haven't really been around long enough or contributed enough to the site to even appear on the radar.

Since you already applied to be staff, you just now have to wait until they review your application, and if they accept it, they will ask for an interview on Skype.

Well you have to apply. Sometimes, the staff will be looking for new staff members on any section of Poniverse. And they do choose members.

 

However, just because you apply doesn't mean you'll make it. I've applied for the mod team before and didn't make it. It depends on how qualified you are to help run the place, and how much time out of your busy schedule you are willing to dedicate to it.

As far as I know, you should receive a PM sooner or later informing you as to whether or not your application has been taken into consideration. If so, I imagine that you will receive further questions and such, almost like an interview, possibly? If not, then it will either be turned down or you will be notified as to how you could improve your chances of being selected as a staff member.

Hi there Flittery Heart, glad you're enjoying your time on MLPForums. While I'm not a part of the site's moderation team, I am sure that they're working with plenty of applications like yours and will eventually respond to your application sooner or later. Even if you're turned down, there are still ways to contribute to the community (such as beta testing,) so don't get discouraged just yet!

 

Either way, I welcome you as a new member to MLPForums.

Since you mentioned the Moderation App 

 

Make sure you read over this FAQ. There are quite a few topics in the Throne Room that discuss what they look for in a staff member. You may want to ask a Moderator or Admin if they have received the application, because the application forwarder does occasionally get clogged. If they have received it, it can take some time for them to review. Patience and restraint is highly prized on MLPF staff.

Maybe you should wait until you have a higher status higher than "muffin" before asking to be a part of the staff. Muffin is the second lowest status possible.
