Gray or Grey?

I've lived in places where they use gray and others where they spell it grey. I've taken to using the latter because i think it just looks nicer lol

This is definitely one of these words its spelling confused the hay out of me when I started to learn english in school.

Nowadays I think I spell it both ways cause I know it works with boths ways and just don't think too much about it

Most people refer to the hypothetical alien life forms most popularized by human society as "grey's" and I took intrigue in this myself when I was younger, so I may have a preference to spelling it like that, however the first listing of "gray" in the dictionary is spelled like so, so in my mind since I'm the cause of so many "gray/grey" areas and have literally been told this myself about my own psychology, it doesnt matter

I usually use Microsoft English (the language that Microsoft used for their products). But I don't know if they used the word gray or grey, so I can't make up my mind!

In my region, "gray" is seen as the "correct" spelling. However, for some reason, I've been using "grey" for as long as I can remember.
