Cannot Post Gifs To Profile Page

I am having issues linking gifs onto my profile. What I would normally do is visit imgur.com, upload a gif, copy its direct link, click on the icon of the photo of the tree on the Edit About Me Page box, paste it into the horizontal box provided, and save. For some reason now, however, this process no longer works. When I try using this method, the gif just shows up as an icon...

I have been using my PC for this and always have been. I suppose this may be an issue on imgur's part or I am missing a step considering that imgur changed their site layout, but if anyone can assist me, I would truly appreciate it.

A few notes:

- This is a method I have been using ever since I can remember.

- I am trying to post a gif that has been on my profile before it was randomly deleted and it is the same size as it was before.

- I have tried a few different image uploading websites as well.

Yes, here is the gif I would like on my profile:

Ok, I think I know what happened here. Imgur links that don't have the file extension at the end will work in some systems that append the image extension (.gif in this case). Since MLPF won't do that, you can either manually add .gif the end when you use it in your about me page, or when you are on the imgur page - right click on the image and open it in new tab to get the full url (seen in the below example of what it would look like).

I tested it out in my profile to make sure it works and it seems to be ok (it's still there if you want to take a look). Copy the open and use the image button or the image tag and you should be good to go.

Okay, excellent. I will try these methods and let you know if they work.

I will happily close this question out as answered. If you are happy, and Rarity is happy, who am I to disagree. :D
