animation What Is Your Opinion On Anime Facial Expressions?

I actually dislike anime facial expressions, because they are to over the top to me. I mean, sure, sometimes its funny but then they are shows that have it almost constantly and its just laughable sometimes. I know that not every anime has this over the top expressions, but they are sure enough.

But there are also some Anime who doesnt do that or at least only very rarely, like the Fate Franchise, the .hack franchise ( at least from what i saw ), Gunslinger Girl and Violet Evergarden. I mean except for the over the top crying and tears, but i guess thats a rule that they need extra tears for anime.

I think a favorite anime expression for me is the dignity laugh. I wish more modern anime had that, it's just so goofy
