We know Scoots can't fly, and if she's never going to fly in the series, let it be clear that the best way to help her face her anxiety of never being able to fly is if she meets ANOTHER flightless pegasus! It would show her that she's not the only one, because currently, she is, and it doesn't seem fair to her being the only pegasus that can't fly. If she meets an adult pegasus with the same problem, he can teach her some alternatives - like a guiding cloud or something!

You know there are people that can't walk, but have braces on their legs to help them be able to! This could be that, but for Scoots! She can fly, but not using her wings, but using something else, and the other flightless pegasus can really help her out!

What do you think? You think something like this should happen? If you say no, you got a better idea?

That sounds like a really good idea. I hope it comes to show, because that would be interesting to see.

They've already introduced handicapped earth ponies, so why not handicapped pegasi?? Or unicorns? Anything , that could make Scoot relate to them and to learn a lesson that you gotta appreciate what you've got and make the best of it, instead of comparing yourself to what others can do.

I can see Scootaloo and Fluttershy having an episode about how they're not the best flyers. After all Fluttershy did have an episode where she was the slowest flyer but still contributed as well.

Scootaloo will fly someday eventually.

But I like the fact that she doesn't fly. It's what makes her special.

But All alone. If theres a Scootaloo Episode this season that shows her flying, It would be the best

It would certainly be interesting if it turned out Scoots was a 'disabled' (so to speak) pony. Lots of good lesson potential there, plus it wouldn't make her any worse of a character. Just different.

Yeah, but it'll only work out perfectly if she meets another 'disabled' pegasus. That would solve her problem! Anybody who meets someone with the same problems as them always makes them feel better about themselves, cause they know they're not alone! :)

This idea would actually be the BEST way to handle this. We already have the concept of Scootaloo possibly not being able to fly at all and we all know she isn't the only one. Showing her that she isn't alone in her disability is essentially perfection in how they can handle it. I am in support of this. Makes me wonder if her being flightless will be further explored.

I imagine that Scootaloo will fly eventually.  I can certainly see an episode where she is feeling down about her lack of flight, but then something will happen, an accident or some such thing, with nopony else around but her and she'll pull it out of the bag, without even thinking about it, she'll swoop in and save the day.

On the other hand (or hoof), if that doesn't happen, then I'd rather they didn't cheat and find some other way for her to fly.  If they're going to make a lesson out of her disability then it should be that she comes to terms with her limitations and finds out that she can still lead a full life without flying.  I think that 'everything always has a perfect happy ending' would be the wrong message in that instance.

Another flightless pegasus would certainly be a good way to help her come to terms with that.  Although my preferred external influence would be Luna coming to her while she's asleep and reminding her that she can at least still dream about flying, as she did in DPDoMS (but that's mostly just because I always want to see more Luna).

That Flightless pegasus will either help her or make her feel worse.

Maybe start off having her feel worse, cause thinking she might be forever disabled, but maybe she might feel better in the end, if he helps her with her problem! I mean he'll be the only one who would understand Scootaloo's pain.
