Anyone/Anypony getting MineCraft for Xbox 360?

Buck yeah I am! I love minecraft, and the idea of playing it on my biiig TV sounds soooo cool! I can't wait for it to be released here!

 

It came out today for me! I didnt have any extra money for, but from all of my friends playing it it sounds pretty awesome with a few problems.

If it wasn't for me having a custom built rig and the game on PC, I'd buy it for the xbox.

But seeing as I do have a custom beast built by me, and Mc for PC I'm going to have to say no.

Also I enjoy my mods, skins and texture packs.

The next update for console MC is going to be beta 1.7.3. This means the console version is...3 or 4 updates behind the PC version? They also seem to have random stuff from the current PC release (eg: dogs, lightning, couple other things). It isn't the most stable game to ever come out on XBLA (and there's some weird glitches with water and not being able to hit things in the legs...), but hey, its Minecraft, that's to be expected right?

The map is saved to the host of the game's profile only. But, you can play with up to 8 people online (friend's only, you can't join random games).

Oddly enough I purchased it for the Xbox even tho I have it on the PC. Still don't regret it seeing as my xbox buddies and I had a wonderful time in it ^^

I MUCH prefer it on the PC. I got it on the Xbox but I play/enjoyy it not nearly as much as the PC version. Still an awesome game, though.

I like the older version of minecraft, but it will forever be missing the amazing shader mods that the computer has. That is about the only thing that makes me not want to play Xbox minecraft vs PC minecraft.

If the publisher want to release a patch/DLC they need to pay a certain amount of money.

Microsoft has this policy for all XBox 360 titles. You cannot offer free DLC, updates must be reviewed and cost money to be reviewed.

 

If Minecraft XBox receives updates, it will be very sporadically.

 

Personally, I will stick to PC Minecraft, I've had it for longer, and I am unsure how well the minecraft controls adapt to the 360 Controller, likely god enough, but not well enough to my liking, since Minecraft is slightly clunky as is, and porting over that clunkiness to a 360 pad is looks weird.

It's pretty good in my opinion. The controls as Tich said are more clunky in some areas like the inventory, but I am a console player at heart and it doesn't bother me at all. I do quite like the way they did crafting since I can never remember formulas.

I haven't played enough between the two for exact differences, but I would say the computer one is better (not including mods). It just feels better on what it was meant for.

Mojang has said there will be future updates for the MX360 version, so they will update it eventually. Personally, they do need to update alot of things on there and some bugs that have occurred. Although I do like both, I will have to use the xbox version more because my friends connections are terrible on the computer, and they also make the creation of servers so freaking difficult. :/

I like it more on the PC, but it's still awesome on the 360! The thing that's better on the 360 is that it is so easy to join a game and play online with someone!
