MLP Scrolls Into the Void

Recommended Posts

Using Chrome, I'm able to horizontally scroll waaaay past the right side of the page's background image, and I know that's not supposed to happen.  This does not appear to happen with IE; can't speak for Firefox.

Nor does it happen with other sites I frequent, I'm pretty sure it's not Chrome's doing.

@@Mortar, does this happen when you disable all of your browser's extensions and/or load MLP Forums in an incognito window? I'm using Chrome 52.0.2743.82 on macOS and it works fine for me, but I also use very few browser extensions.

I don't normally do either, so I can't say.

I'm using Chrome on both, my PC and this tiny little notebook and everything works properly. I've never experienced such an issue.

I'm curious though - is there anything in that void? Like randomly drawn text or image? Or is it just pure whiteness? Is there a border or it's endless? Does it happen in every single page on forums, or it does happen only on, for example, the main page? Posting a screenshot would answer some of my questions. x3

Anyway, checking the source code (accessed by pressing F12) and inspecting code/elements probably could say more, but that's a pretty advanced thing, so let's forget about this.

You said, that this doesn't happen in IE, so most likely it's an issue within the browser, but still - you never know.

Some of the first steps for troubleshooting could be cleaning history/cookies etc. and checking Chrome extensions and removing unwanted/suspicious ones, if there are any (for example installed along with some programs [example for that example: 'Avast Antivirus' installs few extensions to Chrome]).

If that wouldn't help, then reinstalling Chrome could solve the issue or at least it would make sure, that it's none of the settings/extensions/other.

Perhaps administrators will know more about this and will be able to pinpoint the source of troubles.
