Is exposition a problem in MLP?

In quite a few videos I have watched over episodes one fairly complaint I have heard is that the exposition is way overdone. In particular the latest episode. Do you feel that exposition in MLP is an issue? I do remember in Rainbow Rocks there were a few parts that I felt that way about and even some episodes, a lot of expository dialogue.

It seems to be necessary to some extent as MLP is still an episodic show, meant to be watchable in virtually any order, despite the show simultaneously maintaining a linear continuity. It's meant to catch up younger or more casual viewers, who watch the episodes out of order or miss a few episodes.

More intent viewers complain because it slows down the pace of the story, and it does become a problem if a large chunk of the dialogue is spent re-telling past events. However, I've taken it as a quirk of the show's nature. It's a consequence of the show having more continuity, character development, and changes to the status quo.

Outside of Trade Ya, I don't really think so.

Problems such as lack of meaningful character development for characters like Pinkie Pie and Applejack, lack of decent worldbuilding, how the show handles villain reformations, and how Celestia is pretty much useless in the narrative nowadays and the upcoming EQG film will have her human form speak just as much if not get more lines than pony Celestia has had in seasons 5 and 6 combined.

Actually, I think FiM has great exposition, especially for a children's show. There's many shows out there, including some where you'd expect exposition from and receive little to none *cough* Star Wars: Rebels *cough* FiM gives us exposition naturally and fluidly, in a way where world building is done through normal dialogue and imagery, and doesn't interrupt the story or sacrifice pacing.

For me, it's not the exposition but instead the conclusion. Overall pacing is good but in some instances certain endings happen too abruptly and quickly, compared to the time to establish the plot/conflict in the beginning.
